Narrator's POV

A couple weeks later

It has been a couple of weeks since the battle with (Y/n)-Xehanort. Everyone is currently residing at Castle Oblivion, and all spirits are low. They are all in a meeting room, waiting for Ansem to come back from his laboratory. Why is he in his laboratory you ask? It's because (Y/n) is in the pod that once held Sora during his year slumber.

Before Sora could get hit by (Y/n)-Xehanort's last ditch attack, Riku rushed to Sora's side and slashed (Y/n)-Xehanort with his keyblade. By doing this, due to (Y/n)-Xehanort having the darkness inside him, it caused the keyblade to leave a massive flesh wound. The blood that was spilled was immense. As Sora quickly caught (Y/n)'s body, the darkness was released but the wound still remained. Sora began to cry, fearing he would lose the love of his life. He continued to cry until he saw something on the ground, something that fell out of (Y/n)'s pocket.

A Paopu Fruit.

Unaware by looking at the star shaped fruit, Aqua, Kairi, and Xion used their magic, specifically Curaga to help seal the wound so the bleeding would stop. They managed to seal the wound, but (Y/n) was very weak. Unsure of what to do next, the  wielders left The World That Never Was and quickly went back to the Inn to try and help (Y/n) as best as they could. When they arrived back at the Inn, they placed (Y/n) on the bed and quickly tended to him. (M/n), (D/n), and Naminé gave (Y/n) some potions and ethers, the potions had to go in a tube that entered his bloodstream while the ethers were immediately absorbed into his body. This helped sustain (Y/n), but only for a short time.

While (Y/n) was still incapacitated, Sora and the other were thinking of what they could do in order to help (Y/n) recover much quicker. Everyone was at a loss, that is until something came through the front door. A small voice was heard. "Geez, you guys move to quickly! You didn't even give me a chance to catch up!" Everyone turned to the room entrance and saw Chirithy, back to normal, and along with him was Ansem the Wise. "Chirithy! You're back to normal!" Sora yelled. "And it's a good thing I am! Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get Ansem to help us!" Chirithy said as he turns his head to Ansem. "I'm glad I can be here now. I know you are all in strife right now, but we can still save (Y/n). If we bring him to my lab back in Castle Oblivion, I can do anything in my power to make sure he recovers fully." Ansem said. "You can help (Y/n)?! Really?!" Sora asks. "Yes but I can't do it alone. I'm going to need your help to make sure it all goes accordingly." Ansem responds. "Well guys?" Riku asks. "Ansem, please.... bring my son back." (M/n) says. Ansem nods and everyone heads back to Castle Oblivion.

After bringing (Y/n) back to Castle Oblivion, he was placed in the pod and was carefully monitored 24/7. Everyone was given tasks. Naminé, Xion and Kairi were to head to Twilight Town and purchase the best elixirs that were available, so Ansem could make a special medicine  that would help revitalize (Y/n). Riku, Terra, and Axel were helping Ansem with the monitoring and keeping a close check on (Y/n)'s vitals. Roxas, Sora, Ventus, and Vanitas went back to The World That Never Was, just in case there was something that could help (Y/n). And lastly (M/n), (D/n), and Chirithy were just waiting. Waiting and praying each day, hoping their son would recover. This continued until now.

Ansem enters the room, seeing everyone anxiously waiting to hear the recent results. "Everyone, I have some good news. It seems (Y/n)'s condition is stable and nothing seems to be wrong." Everyone breaths a sigh of relief. "However... he still shows no signs of waking up, and I'm afraid I don't know how long he will remain in this comatose state." Everyone frowns hearing this news. "Isn't there anything else we can do?" (M/n) asks. "I'm afraid not. All we can do now is wait..." Ansem responds and (M/n) begins to cry. (D/n) and Chirithy start comforting her while everyone looks down on the ground. "Can we at least see him?" Kairi asks and Ansem nods. Everyone then stands and heads toward the room where (Y/n) was being held.

Once they enter the room they see (Y/n) in the pod. (M/n) and (D/n) were first to go to the pod and spend time with their son. "Oh (Y/n)... I'm so sorry... I'm sorry we couldn't protect you." (M/n) says in between her sobs. "I wish... we could turn back time and fix everything. We could be a happy family again." She continued. "(Y/n), we really don't know if you can hear us right now... but we promise to say here with you. And we will wait for you, no matter how long it takes." (D/n) says and he puts his hand in the pod, (M/n) does the same. "We love you son, and we promise to be here for you. No matter what." (D/n) says as he holds (M/n) close to him. They both then move away from the pod and head back to the others.

Aqua, Terra, Ventus, and Vanitas were next and they move toward the pod. Aqua puts her hand on the pod as she prepares to speak. "(Y/n), I may have not know you for long, but that doesn't matter. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been able to see Ventus and Terra again. You brought them back to me, my friends that I cherished so deeply. And so I want to say... thank you. Thank you for bringing them back, I don't know how I could ever repay you. So... when you come back I will do my best to repay you. That's a promise." Aqua finishes and moves away from the pod. Terra then moves closer to the pod and takes a deep breath. "I honestly don't know what to say. You took me in to fight the others and they freed me. I wonder... was that intentional? Was there a chance you were in control when you brought me to The World That Never Was? Well regardless if it was or not, I'm grateful. I'm free from Xehanort and back with my friends. It honesty feels like a dream. So thank you. For everything. I'm in your debt." Terra finishes and heads beside Aqua. Ventus and Vanitas now step toward the pod. "Hard to believe that it was because of you I was brought back. And all because of  your idea to help Roxas. Of it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here with Terra or Aqua. So thank you. It means so much to me that I can be with them again." Ventus starts. "And it's thanks to you that I managed to rebel against Xehanort and find that I'm more than just darkness and Ventus's other half. I can be much more. Thank you... for showing that to me. It was... because of you that I finally managed to break free." Vanitas finishes with a slight blush on his cheeks. They then both head to Aqua and Terra and step away from the pod

Axel, Roxas, and Xion were next. All three of them went to the pod at once. Axel decides to speak first. "Seriously (Y/n) you keep surprising me. First we talked through a windows then you come to our world, next you can do magic then summon spirits and then..." Roxas then elbows Axel in his sides. "Oof! Anyway like I said you keep surprising me, and it's thanks to you that we managed to bring back Roxas and Xion. Never did I imagine this would happen. And now.. I feel absolutely happy thanks to you. Thank you." Axel finishes and then Xion speaks. "I saw everything through Sora. Your kindness, your friendliness, your compassion and most of all... your love for everyone. Never in my life did I ever think I would meet someone like you. Thank you so much from bringing me and Roxas back, even if it was under different circumstances. You will always have a special place in my heart." Xion finishes and Roxas walked up to the pod and touches it with his hand. "(Y/n)... I still can't believe that you kept your promise. I said it was impossible... and yet you did it. And not only that, you brought much more back. You brought everyone back together, it's a miracle. I'm... so happy." Tears start to fall on Roxas's face. "So please... come back to us. Because once you do, I'll show you much grateful I am. I'll give you a big hug, and much more if I have to. So please... come back soon." Roxas finishes and dries his tears and walks back along with Xion and Axel.

Riku, Kairi, and Naminé were next. They walk to the pod and have soft and gentle smiles on each of their faces. "(Y/n), I want to thank you for protecting Sora. He's always so rash and impulsive but you protected him and cared for him through it all. I'm glad Sora was able to love someone and to be with him through thick and thin. So thank you. Thank you for being and great boyfriend with Sora and for being a wonderful friend to us all." Kairi says and Naminé continues from where Kairi left off. "Even though you didn't know who I was, you still managed to help me in a way. Much like Roxas and Xion, you brought all of us back. And I'm grateful for that, so I want to promise you something. I promise that I will be there when you need me. Just say the word and I'll be there. This is something I won't back out of, so there is nothing you can say that can change my mind." Naminé giggles and moves back along with Kairi. Riku then walks up to the pod. "From the day we first met, I thought I was absolutely crazy that we were able to talk to you. But as one thing lead to another you came to our world. It seems like destiny had such plans for you. Maybe you were destined to meet us? Or maybe something else entirely? But either way, one thing I feel is certain. I'm glad that we meet and I'm glad to call you friend. Never thought I would meet someone like you. No matter how long it takes, we'll wait for you." Riku finishes with a smile and walks away from the pod

Lastly, Sora walks to the pod, his hands shaking. Once he reached the pod, he slowly raises his hand to touch the pod, his hands still shaking. "(Y/n)... I finally have you back... but now we're more apart than before." Sora's heart is hurting, every second that passes makes the pain worse. But Sora decided to look upon older memories of him and (Y/n). The time when he was saved by (Y/n) when he was attacked by a behemoth, When (Y/n) defeated the Morning Star, When they cuddled in the bed they shared at the in. Those memories kept Sora's heart aflutter with love and hope. He knows one day he will be able to hold (Y/n) in his arms again, but this time on the same side. "I don't care how long it takes, I'll wait till the ends of the world for you. I love you (Y/n) and no matter what.... I'll always be with you."

A warm light can be felt inside Sora's heart and as he felt it grow, he found himself in darkness. Only for not a moment later to see and huge stained glass of (Y/n) fright in front of him. Sora then remembers what Yen Sid told him long before you met (Y/n). The Power of Waking. Even though Sora has never mastered it, nor tried it before. He was willing to do anything to wake (Y/n) up. He was determined with all his heart. He then took out his keyblade and pointed it at the stained glass, a beam of light comes from the top and hits the glass, causing it to glow brightly. It was so bright, Sora had to shield his eyes so he wouldn't go blind. Once he uncovers his eyes he find himself in front of the pod.

And he sees his sleeping beauty, awoken at last.
