Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Keefe POV

After like an hour, the other guys and I heard the girls talking on the stairs and we looked up. Then... I felt like I couldn't breathe. The girls all looked beautiful of course, due in part to the elves' natural beauty and also to Biana's handiwork. Sophie though, Sophie was breathtaking. Then of course Sophie being Sophie tripped on the last steps and I caught her. She looked up and blushed then mouthed a thank you and stood up. I saw Biana and Marella exchange money then Biana said, "Okay guys let's get moving apparently this Broadway thing doesn't wait on people who are late *ahem* Sophie *ahem*." "Okay let's go!" Sophie said with excitement. "Soph, what play are we seeing anyway?" Marella said. "Only one of the best ones of all time and my personal favorite, Hamilton!" Sophie sighed with obvious relish. "It's based on a real life person who invented the money system in early US history." We all stared at her blankly. "Hmm, I might have to homeschool you guys in history so I can give you all the facts. Anyway you'll understand better when you see it. Now come on, I am not being late to this.

After the show on the way home

"That *sniff* was so sad! At the end when Hamilton was shot and Eliza was singing...I have no words." Biana sniffled as we walked home. I silently agreed but I didn't want to look like a wimp, especially when I didn't see Bangs Boy crying like all the girls were. "I know right! And when Hamilton's son died! It gets me every single time!" Sophie said. "Omg stop making me think about it, it was so freaking sad!" Marella cried. I wasn't really listening to what they were saying because I was too busy thinking about what would happen when I finally told Sophie I liked her. She would probably either burst out laughing or run away screaming. Or... maybe Biana was right, maybe she did really like me. I guess I just have to find out. When we finally got home we collapsed in the living room.

"I didn't realize you had to do so much walking in the Forbidden Cities! I thought that's why they had the big things that always crash."

Dex sighed and we all nodded in agreement.

"Ugh, trust me driving in NYC is worse than walking. I mean, you could be stuff in a car for hours barely moving."

Sophie reasoned. I looked at her nervously.

"Um... Sophie, can I talk to you for a minute?"

I asked her nervously.

"Uh, sure."

She replied as she got up and followed me into her room. I heard Biana, Linh, and Marella whispering to each other as we closed the door.
