~1/2 days later~
I finally reach Metelity! My butt is so sore from the ride, but I ignore it and check on the bird again. She seems to be doing fine, still unconscious from blood loss and her bandages are holding up. I put down a fence and tie up my horse. Then, carrying the bird, I begin my search for the doctor or healer or whatever. "Excuse? Someone told me there was a skilled healer in this town, could you help me find her?" I ask a guard. He turns around and looks at me suspicious. "You're new here, state your name and business here in Metelity." He says in a gruff voice. Oblivious much? Oh well. "I just said I needed to find the healer. Also, I'm (Y/N) (L/N)." I repeat. "The healer you say? Out of luck, HE left town 2 days ago to help someone in another village." he said. I hang my head in defeat and sigh. "Looking for someone?" A voice says approaching us.

3rd Person (thought I would give this a shot.)
A stranger walks up to the guard and (Y/N). He sees that the lady is upset and buts in. "Looking for someone?" He asks. "Yeah, you don't happen to know where the healer of this town is?" She asks desperately. The stranger chuckles a bit and says, "You're looking right at him," The stranger says, "How may I be of assistance?" "Y-You're the healer?" She stutters. "Thank goodness! Can you help this bird? Her leg is broken and possibly her wing as well." "Of course! Follow me." The stranger indicates towards (Y/N). They walk past a few houses before reaching a magnificent treehouse. "Put her on that table." He says, pointing at the table in the middle of the room. (Y/N) places the bird gently on the table and scoots out of the healer's way. "Hmmm, let's see. Well, her leg is definitely broken and her wing is just tired. I have a potion that will help, but it is healing itself fairly quickly. Should be fully healed tomorrow." The doctor says. "Also, that bird is no ordinary one. I have reason to believe that this is the mighty Phoenix herself." "WHAT?!?!?"

(Y/N)'s POV:
THIS BIRD IS THE PHOENIX? Like, the magical bird who lights on fire? The one whose tears can cure anything, the legendary bird of Truzo? I might faint...
Who is this? Where am I? What have you done to me? "Who just said that?" I say panicking. Human, I, Phia the Phoenix is addressing you. Since I cannot talk myself, I communicate through minds. "Woah..." I say astounded. "(Y/N)? What's going on?" The healer asks. "Nothing, I thought I heard a voice. Anyways, thank you for everything!" I call, walking out the door. "Wait! By the way, my name is Joey if you ever need help!" He calls. I barely hear him as I continue walking down the stairs, with Phia behind me. What was that about? She asks. "I couldn't let him know he was right, what if he wanted to hurt you or use you for evil things?" I say. True. Hmmm, this must be the reason as to why I am here. "What reason?" Well, I would be up in my heavenly paradise if fate hadn't summoned me back down to Earth. Now, I believe I was sent here to be with you. "What does that mean?"
You are my new master.
"I didn't agree to this!" I yelled. Fate didn't give you a choice. "Great, now people will chase me and try to kill me so they can get their hands on you!" I say frustrated. I assure you I am more than capable of fending for myself. I will just spend my time protecting you. She lands on my shoulder. I didn't shoo her away because I didn't really care. She wasn't massive and super light so I barely noticed her land. "Fine, you can stay, but you have to help me." I wouldn't have given you a choice anyways. Besides, helping you is my job.
We arrive at my horse and I hop on. Where are you going? "Back to my village. I need to get back home." I mumble. I take off and we rush back to the village. Master, stop. "What?" I ask as I slow down. I sense danger. "Great, so you have a danger alert. Why didn't you tell me?" Brace yourself. "For whaAAAH!" I say as an arrow nearly hits me. I glance in the direction where the arrow came from. Someone in the undergrowth lurks and I hear rustling as they run. "Let's get 'im Phia!" I say, charging into the woods. Oh boy...
We chase the guy for about 3 more minutes until we find him hanging in a deer trap. "Who are you?" I ask. He remains silent. "Why did you attack us?" No answer. "Phia, knock him out." With pleasure master. She comments as she soars towards the man. Her foot grows 3 times bigger than normal and whacks him on the head and he flops over. Her foot shrinks back to normal and grabs the net. I make a face of confusion and astonishment at her. Like the legends say, I possess very powerful magic, was all she said to me. We continue on our merry way with Phia carrying the net behind me. About 10 minutes from the village and Nix comes rushing up to us out of breath. "Nix? What wrong?" "The village, it's...."
