J Hope was on his way into the kitchen, following the scent of something delicious. He stopped and saw you and Jin standing at the stove, glaring at each other with your hands on your hips. It was a staring standoff. 

"Oh no, no, no, no," he mumbles as he quickly turns around to hurry back to the living room and safety.

You tell him, "If you use a shallower, slightly larger pan, the water will boil faster."

He rolls his eyes, "Then there isn't enough water for the noodles. It has to be a deeper pan."

"No, you don't understand. . . if you"

Jin steps close to your face, waving his spoon and yelling, "Don't tell me I don't understand something when it comes to cooking!"

Despite your petite stature with hands on your hips, you yell back, "Don't yell at me, you brute!" Aggravated, you snatch the spoon out of his hand and whack him on the arm with it.

"I wasn't. I was trying to let you know that the same amount of water, whether it be in a shallow pan or a deep pan, the water in the shallow pan will boil first."

"If it is the same amount of water, then I don't see how one could boil faster than the other."

J Hope didn't catch any more of the heated conversation as he hurried away from the kitchen.

You both decided to test the theory. As you stood at the stove, watching for the water to boil, you began to laugh.

"You know they say a watched pot never boils, and here we are..." You sneak a look at Jin, watching the corner of his mouth turn up, and then he laughs.

"So I guess we stop watching?" he asks.

"Oh no, we have to watch to see which one starts boiling first."

Jin huffs a breath, "Yeah, you're right."

Surprised, you look up at him, grinning, "You mean it?"

Jin, confused, asks, "I meant what?"

Grinning mischievously, you say, "That, I'm right." 

He rolls his eyes, and you laugh, turning back to watch the pots. You cheer with glee when yours reaches a boil first.

He laughs, "Let's get back to making dinner now. I know the guys have got to be getting hungry."

Smiling, you both go back to cooking dinner while Jin tells you some of his newest dad jokes.

You surprise him with a mom joke, and he almost drops his favorite wooden spoon laughing.

With the wonderful aromas in the kitchen making their way throughout the house, some very appreciative noses lift to smell the air.

The guys came into the kitchen to see what was cooking because it smelled so delicious throughout the house.

Jungkook is the first to enter, looking around and sniffing. He heads to the fridge to get a banana milk. Jimin and Tae join him at the fridge, pretending they are looking for something.

Namjoon, J-Hope, and Yoongi are getting glasses out of the cabinet for themselves. Then, they secretly nod with the others.

While Jungkook, Jimin, and Tae approach you and Jin, sniffing the food and trying to taste it, you both are distracted, leaving Namjoon, J Hope, and Yoongi free to sample what is already on the counter.

You and Jin know something is up. You turn from the Maknae line and see the others sampling the dishes already done. You are now distracted from the Maknae line, and they start sampling what is on the stove.

You and Jin kept trying to swat them away like little food gnats. They must have planned this kitchen raid. While you and Jin are defending two or three of them, the others are sampling the cooking food.

After figuring out their plan, you start laughing. You lean on the counter to keep standing upright and not fall on the floor like Jimin does during a hardy laugh.

They tried to pretend they were coming in to get something to drink when they were actually coming to sneak samples of the food.

Finally, Jin, seeing you laughing and holding on to the counter, realizes what they are doing.

He welds his wooden spoon menacingly as he chases them out of the kitchen. Yoongi quickly kisses your cheek on the way out, and you laugh even harder.

"You guys are six cups of chaos. That's what you are! Now stay out!." 

You hear them laughing as they go down the hall back to the living room.

Jin, having successfully chased them off, turns to you. You have your head down on the counter, and suddenly, he is worried. He comes over and gently places a hand on your shoulder.

Your body shakes as if you were sobbing. He starts to panic. "Are you alright, Lilith?"

You lift your head, tears running down your face, tears of laughter, and you say, "Six cups of chaos!?"

You start laughing as you wipe the tears off your face. Jin is just standing there staring at you.

Your laughter and smile are gone as you wonder what you have done to upset him. 

"Jin, what is it? Are you ok?"

As if in a dream, he whispers, "You are so beautiful when you laugh."

Now you are the one staring.

 He shakes his head, not realizing he had spoken out loud. He answers you, "Oh, yeah, I'm fine."
