Miu finally looked up at Ryoma with teary eyes

"How did you know?...." she asked

"Hmph. Don't you remember. I was like that a few months ago as well" Ryoma answered

Miu then remembered all that had happened that day

"Oh right..."

"Miu. I won't try to rat you out for wanting to end your life. But, I would like to show you some where first" Ryoma proposed

"Why should I..."

"Because. If you do, maybe you and I will see eye to eye"

"... Promise not to rat me out..."

"Miu. I promise. I won't tell a soul"

"..... deal"

Soon after, Miu was released from the med wing. She followed Ryoma's instructions and met him on the roof

"Ah. You came" Ryoma said to Miu in the orange sunset

"Of course. This is the last conversation we'll have so might as well make it last" Miu answered

"Sit with me" Ryoma instructed

Miu obliged and sat with them

"So. Why am I here? Plan on watching me jump off?" Miu asked him

"Just look" Ryoma answered

"Huh?"

"Just look out in front of you. It's a beautiful sunset isn't it? We should enjoy it"

Miu shrugged and looked out wards to what was in front of her

"It is beautiful. I'll admit..." Miu commented

"You see this. This is life" Ryoma spoke

Miu remained quite

"Life will have its brightest moments at dusk right now, and even dawn that will come later" he continued

"But then the night will fall. Ruining the sunset"

Miu frowned

"But" Ryoma said putting a hand on her leg

"The night will shine with stars. Making it just as enjoyable. But we won't see that if we only look out to the darkness of the night"

Miu looked at him

"I understand how you feel. That day I tried to take my life, I felt alone. Like no on cared and that life wasn't worth it" Ryoma said looking down

Miu looked at him with sad eyes

"But. Shuichi and Tenko didn't give up on me. They were the stars that shone during my night"

Miu began to realize what he was saying

"We can't take back what we have done. It'll take time to do so. Maybe even a life time"

Miu began to tear up

"But we don't have to do it alone" Ryoma said grasping her hand

"Cause I will always cherish you. Each and every one of you"

Miu began to squeeze his hand back

"So Miu please. Let me be one of the fifteen stars, that will shine during your nights" he said resting his head on her shoulder

Miu began to cry as she heard this

"But it's so hard!" She wailed

"Life is hard to continue. We all know that. But nothing that matters isn't hard"

Miu hugged the smaller boy bringing her into him into her

"Promise that it will get better then"

"I can't promise it will get better. But I promise to stay by your side for as long as you need"

Miu sniffed as she heard those words

"Then I'll stay in this world a bit longer"
