WorldxAmerica- America's Boyfriend?
Hey guys! This isn't a request but something I've had on my mind. Enjoy! WARNING: possessive! World, and mature content probably.
————————————
It all started one fateful world meeting. Just as Germany was calling the meeting to a close, America quickly packed up his things and left half way through the German's sentence. This worried most nations as it wasn't like America. Usually the freedom nation would stick around to talk with close friends or allies. But not today. No today he seemed like he was in a rush to be somewhere.
Looking back on it America had been acting strange the entire meeting. He was spacing out with this sort of dazed look in his eyes. The American also wasn't paying attention to what anyone was saying. And to top it all off he was smiling. Now you may be thinking 'isn't that normal for America?'. Yes it is but this wasn't his usual Hollywood, perfect white teeth smile. No in fact some would even call this smile...love struck.
It was a small yet genuine smile that had every nation wondering who or what was the cause of it.
So naturally as America left everyone stayed to try and decipher the blonde nation's weird behavior. "The little bugger has been acting off as of late. I mean didn't you see how happy he looked?" England stated arms crossed. "Oui. I haven't seen him zhis happy since hamburgers were invented." France chuckled his usual laughter filling the large room. "I wonder what's wrong with him, eh." Canada commented wondering if he would have to whip out his hockey stick.
"Vhatever it is, it's distracting him." Germany grumbled before jumping slightly when Italy suddenly spoke up. "I think I-a know what's-a wrong with America!!" The Italian exclaimed proudly looking like he had just discovered something that no one else had. Germany sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose already feeling a headache coming on. "Ja, vhat is it Italien?" Germany asked though he soon felt he would regret it.
Italy stood up proudly from his seat directing every nation's attention towards him. "Isn't it-a obvious? America's in-a love!" Italy's proclamation drew the room into a silence that lasted exactly for a minute and twenty seconds before chaos finally erupted.
"Vhat?!"
"I thought idiots couldn't fall in love!"
"Me too! This is so confusing."
"Alright you bloody gits, which one of you is it?"
"Why're you looking at me? It's not me!"
"Me either."
As similar statements came from everyone else in the room, a certain Hungarian nation started to develop a theory but need evidence before she could officially say what she thought was going on. So, Hungry approached Japan with a gleam in her eyes that had Japan slightly scared for his life.
"Hov about ve send our little ninja to go spy on our darling Amerika?" Hungary suggested with a smirk on her face that had more of the tactical nations giving her looks of suspicion. Though in the end, they agreed to send Japan to see what was causing America to act so strangely. Japan, realizing he had absolutely no say in the matter, headed after America easily catching up with the younger nation.
It wasn't that Japan wasn't concerned for his best friend. No he was truly worried about him but Japan also felt that America, like any other nation, was entitled to his personal life. Though the Japanese nation did understand where everyone was coming from.
America is the youngest. The baby. He's also the most innocent too. It seemed like every nation (even the ones who swore up and down they hated America) had some instinct to protect America from all harm. Now America is by no means a delicate flower. In fact, he's one of the strongest among them and he's a superpower. It's just that physical strength doesn't always equal the ability to read the room something which America lacked.
America is a nation that has seen far too much for someone his age so everyone had made a unanimous decision to try and prevent America from being more traumatized than he already was. Japan had never seen China and England agree on something before. Despite how much their bosses and physical countries fought, the personifications will always do whatever they can to protect America.
Japan watched as America entered a small park before sitting on a bench. Japan himself was sitting in the tree that was behind said bench. America sat there for about five minutes before a figure started approaching. The figure was a male that looked to be the same human age as America so around nineteen or twenty. The male had ink black hair that was pulled into a small ponytail along with bright green eyes that reminded Japan of Spain's own orbs.
The man's skin was flirting between the edge of tan and pale. It was more a combination of the two really. He looked leaned and muscular and the Japanese nation could also see some tattoos peaking out of the white t-shirt he wore. America smiled that genuine smile again at the sight of the male standing up to greet him. "Hey Alfred!" The obviously human man greeted wrapping his arms around the nation in a hug.
Japan was close enough to hear America say, "Hey, Victor.". Victor? Who the hell is Victor? Japan watched as they broke there embrace though it seemed rather reluctant. They both sat down on the bench before they started conversing. It was mostly about how their days had been but there was a little bit about how much they missed each other.
Japan was quick to pull out his camera knowing that he would need physical proof for something of this nature. Japan must have snapped at least twenty photos before Victor said he had to go and parted ways with America. America gave him a kiss on the cheek that confirmed Japan's theory.
America has a boyfriend.
A human boyfriend.
Japan doesn't know what will come of this but he knows it won't be anything good.

Everyone sat in their seats some twitching impatiently while others sat quietly watching the minutes tick by on a nearby clock. It seemed like forever when Japan finally arrived back at the conference room a grave look of his face.
Most noticed the look right away while the more oblivious nations cheerfully asked Japan what he had discovered. Everyone watched in anticipation as Japan sat in his assigned seat placing his camera carefully on the wooden table. "Vell? Vhat is it?" Prussia asked the Japanese man who turned to the albino an unusual look of dread on his face.
"America-san..." Japan said it so quietly that no one was able to hear anything beside the first two words. "America what?" Taiwan encouraged Japan to go on even though it looked like the Japanese nation didn't want to. So swallowing all fear and dread, Japan finally told everyone the big news. "America-san has a boyfriend. A human boyfriend." Japan told them.
The reaction was instantaneous.
Italy and South Korea started panicking not understanding why a sense of fear and hurt gripped at their hearts. Some of the ex-empires such as Spain, Prussia, and England gained glints in their eyes that made Japan go paler than he already was. Canada started sharpening his hockey stick with narrowed, scarily determined eyes. Russia growled furiously his usual dark aura suddenly becoming much more darker.
Belarus was doing something similar to Canada and was sharpening her knives with the same look in her eyes as the Canadian though it look a little more scarier coming from her. Germany was rubbing his temple obviously regretting his decision to let Italy speak earlier. America's enemies such as Cuba and Afghanistan both scoffed but Japan could see they were just as bothered by the news as everyone else was.
"Zhis can't be happening!" France cried a stressed look on his face. "Oh it bloody well is, frog! This is all your fault!" England accused pointing a finger at the Frenchman who gasped the the accusation. "Me? I was clearly you that drove him away in the first place, Angleterre." France pointed a finger back at the Brit who also looked offended by the accusation. "I didn't drive him into the arms of some human! God, did ever occur to you that maybe your slimy behavior drove him away from being with a nation instead!" England shouted at France causing the Frenchman to recoil.
"Zhere is nothing wrong with me! You probably traumatized him which made him unable to love our kind! And to fall in love with a human of all things!" France dramatically fainted into Monaco's arms causing the blonde nation to roll her eyes. "It's not like it's a big deal or anything. America can have partners outside of our kind." Everything stopped and everyone stared at Monaco causing the glasses wearing nation to do a double take.
"It's not okay, Monaco. When America's boyfriend dies he'll be crushed! He sometimes forgets that humans don't live as long as we do." Spain pointed out to Monaco. Monaco nodded in understanding. "I know but we can't force him to break up with his boyfriend. If anything, we should all be happy for him. America deserves happiness more than anything so we should just support him." Monaco said looking across the room at all the nations as they took in her words.
"And be there for him when his boyfriend dies, of course." Monaco added after a moment of silence. Her words gained noises of agreement from across the room. That day it was agreed that they would be there for America no matter how much it hurt to have a human as the cause of his happiness.
——————————
But some nations just couldn't handle it.
Most of them had known America for more than two hundred years so to find out that they couldn't give him the happiness that a human gave him was heartbreaking. Humans live and die. Nations are forever. The only way they can be killed is by each other and that hasn't happened in nearly one hundred years.
Most remembered Monaco's words then thought about how happy America looked. It was a combination of those two things that made no one utter a word about it for three months. But at the end of those three months, someone finally snapped.
It was at the end of the meeting in Madrid when Prussia pulled America off to the side. This caught more than a few curious glances from the rest of the world which is not surprising. Nations sometimes don't know how to mind their own business when it comes down to it. After all eternity is a long time and they have it. Prussia dragged the protesting American into a separate room then slammed the door before locking it.
Every nation crept up to the door some pressing their ears against the hard wood to try and hear the conversation. "What the hell, Gil?" America said as he finally broke away from the silent Prussian's grip. Wait...silent? Prussia was never silent. Even in times when its necessary for him to be silent. "Gil.." America hastily approached the albino who had turned his back to him.
"Gil-?" America placed his hand on Prussia's shoulder frowning. That seemed to trigger a response from Prussia who spun around so quickly that it surprised America. The red eyed ex-empire grabbed the freedom nation by the shoulders and pushed him up against the nearest wall.
"Woah!" America gasped in surprise at the sudden force. His sapphire blue eyes stared up into Prussia's towering blood red orbs blinking as they tried to comprehend what had just happened. "Gilbert, what's wrong?" America asked worriedly noticing how tense the old empire was. Prussia ignored the American's question. Or maybe he just didn't hear him, America didn't know at this point. "Alfred. Jou vould tell me if something or someone important had entered jou're life, right?" Prussia's voice was so quiet that it actually scared America.
"Of course, dude. You're one of my best friends. Why're you asking me this?" America titled his head to the side rather cutely but Prussia tried his best to ignore that for the sake of continuing with his interrogation. "I know about Victor, Alfred. I knov about the fact zhat jou have a boyfriend und didn't tell me." Prussia voice held a note of betrayal something that confused America greatly.
"Boyfriend? Victor isn't my—" "Stop lying!" Prussia suddenly yelled causing America to flinch slightly. "Japan took pictures! Ve know, Amerika!" America let out an offended squawk at this. "You sent Japan to spy on me?! That's so not cool dude!" America said pouting at his best friend. "Vell, ve vere concerned! Jou had been acting veird so ve vanted to knov vhat vas vrong." Prussia told America whose pout didn't fade from his face.
"I was happy because I'd made a new friend, you jackass! You guys treat me like garbage so excuse me if I was a little excited to have someone to talk to that didn't criticize everything I do! Most of you may not think it but we're human just like everyone else. We love, we laugh, we cry! We all have made mistakes that we can never take back but making mistakes is what makes us human! The only difference is that we have a longer life span!" Prussia took his hands off America's shoulders shocked at what America had said.
They were just as human as everyone else? Impossible! "Tell me that you've never felt jealous? Love? Rage?" Prussia found himself nodding as America listed off emotions. "See? We're human just like they are. Only difference is that we've seen a lot more than they have." America walked up to Prussia before wrapping his arms around the albino who hugged the American back tightly. They stayed like that for a few minutes before America broke the embrace.
"Now let's just go and forget this ever happened. Also we should clear things up with everyone, it's not like there right outside the door like the nosy bastards I know they are!" Multiple pairs of footsteps could be heard running away from the door after America said that last part. The two didn't bother resisting the urge to laugh out loud at that. It went of for a minute before they calmed down enough to leave the room.
Maybe America was right. Maybe just maybe, they were like humans in a certain way.
