I couldn't control my anger and my tears when I saw that on his chest...
I wanted to slap him hard!!!

What madness is this...

I can't see him hurt!!!

My tears weren't stopping...

I don't know why he's hell-bent to name this relationship!!!

I can't!!! I just don't want this to be named or stamped!!!

Why should everything be defined on papers!!! I can't take this shit!!! I've seen defined relationships going down the drain...

While I was still crying hard in my room, I heard Malu's voice...

'Chaahat... May I ???'

'Yes Malvika... please...come in'

'Im sorry I heard you and Neiv... But can I tell you something... You are not doing it right with Neiv... Fine .. marrying...not marrying is your call...but no one gave you the rights to hurt him...I'm his childhood friend Chaah...Do you even know Neiv is trypanophobic??? He's never ever took an injection without creating a scene... Needles are his biggest fear... He always needs Ishu aunty with him to take a minor injection too ..but 2 days back that Neiv got an entire tattoo done for you...do you realise it's value???' she asked me...

And my eyes poured fresh tears...

'Malvika....I.... I love him but'

'Cant commit to him? Correct? Fine... Fine but atleast don't break his heart in portions yaar!!! He's been an asshole since last 13 years...but since he's met you..he's turned sincere Chaahat...you have literally woven your love threads to stitch his soul... please... I beg of you...don't break his heart time and again... ' saying she folded her hands infront of me...

'Malvika please' I held her hand... She's not his blood..but I swear I haven't seen a soul sister like her
..Neiv is lucky indeed...she loves him just like Disha or Dishani...

Just then Aaru came panicking...
'Chaah Di...where is Neiv Bhai...' she was breathing hard...

I was panic struck...
'Terrace
..but what happened Aaru?' I asked but she ran up the staircase and we both followed her...

'Aaruu... what happened?' I asked...

'Its Ishu aunty...Bela ma called...' and she ran upstairs with eyes filled with tears

What happened to Ishaani aunty 🥺

In no time I saw Neiv come down running like world was collapsing...

I stood infront of him...

'Neiv....What.... What happened...'

He was shivering...

I hugged him and cupped his face...

'Love... what... what is it...tell me...' and she was only pouring tears while being zoned out...

While Aaru said...
'Di... Ishaani aunty had a cardiac arrest few minutes ago...'

And I was shocked 🥺😳

'Dev uncle will be sending his private jet.. we are leaving shortly...'

Shortly we boarded the jet...
Neiv was broken...
I consoled him while he was hugging me by my waist... Slowly after crying for hours he slept on my shoulders...

We reached Bangalore next day afternoon...

Immediately we rushed to the hospital. Dev uncle looked broken.

We noticed Dev uncle's younger brother Dhruv uncle, Ahana aunty were present with him.

SonaPie and MyPie were consoling Disha and Dishani who were crying non stop.

While Neiv's elder brother that is Ahana aunty and Dhruv uncle's son who mostly stayed in the US ...Veer and his wife Nisha were doing all the talking to the doctor. The minute Neiv arrived, Veer hugged him tightly.

'Dont worry...Ishu Chachi had a successful surgery.. One drug eluting stunt was placed... Dr Nikki just checked upon Chachi and left... 48 hours under observation...don't worry...'

Neiv heard everything like a mannequin. He didn't react...while he kept looking at Dev uncle who was sitting there looking at the roof like a broken man.

We all knew how much he loves Ishaani aunty.

Neiv silently went and stood next to his dad...
'Dad.... Why are you crying... Come on you are my lion... Brave lion...come on dadda roar...roar dadda...grrrr 🥺 daddaaa' he said while next minute Dev uncle hugged him tightly...

We couldn't see the sight... Dev uncle in tears...is something none of us saw...

This was the toughest that Kapoor's ever saw. I had heard last Dev uncle cried was when his Daadi died.

Days passed and Ishaani aunty was still having bleeding and hemoglobin issues...She was still under observation...
I shifted my base from Australia to India for a few months and began running our business from here.

Disha and Dishani were also finding it tough!!! Disha had to handle her child and Tan-Anisha's while Dishani was still in shock.

MyPie asked me to shift to Kapoor Mansion for a few days so I could help both Disha and Dishani and I did the same without a word. SonaPie was taking care of Ishaani aunty in the hospital along with Dev uncle

From managing the house to the business...I and Neiv handled it well. We were a team. Neiv was initially broken but we managed everything.

Finally after 3 weeks Ishaani aunty was discharged.
Dr Nikki warned us that Ishaani Aunty must be given special care. Although in normal cases of a cardiac arrest and angioplasty...patient is discharged in a week or so... Ishaani aunty had several complications as she even had a minor stroke... Which means now she is better... but we must take utmost care.

Neiv's POV:

It's been a month since she has come home now ..Her physiotherapy showed great results and she looked healthier. I must thank Chaahat for all that she has been doing to take care of my family.

She's managed everything like a perfect daughter in law. From mom's heath to taking care of dad's daily routine, to managing our business...
My Chaah is Disha and Dishani's favorite...
My neice (Disha's daughter) Resha loves her...
Chaahat has unknowingly become a part of my family and she's just the perfect fit.

One day when I came back from office, Bela Masi came running and stuffed a Laddoo in my mouth and I was confused.

While I asked what happened she said...
'Congratulations Neiv... Chaahat and your wedding date is fixed for next weekend...' and I froze in shock.

Not again!!!

Chaahat has been helping my family...we cannot take advantage of this situation...

I went running to Mom Dad's room to talk to Dad about this but I was shocked when I saw mom was making Chaah wear my grandmother's royal necklace. The one my Dad's Nanasa had gifted my mom at the time of their wedding as a blessing.

The necklace that passed on generations was now in Chaahat's neck...while my heart was beating hard.

Chaahat was sitting quietly infront of the mirror and I was shocked.

While dad patted by shoulder saying...
'Your witch agreed to marry you Gabbar' and tears fell from my eyes...

My eyes met Chaahat's eyes who kept gawking at me...it had several questions and I was scared.

I wanted to talk to Chaahat personally...so I quickly held her hand and dragged her to my room and asked her...

'Chaah.. whatever I heard...is it true??? You...you want to marry me???'

To which I saw her teary eyes met mine...
'Ishu aunty wants me to Neiv... '

I held her shoulders...
'And you???'

Her eyes met mine for a brief period...there was only silence everywhere...

'Im scared' she said...

My eyes poured fresh tears...

'I love you Chaahat... ' I said softly and her teary eyes met mine...

That's when I realised it's the first ever time I confessed these words in detail to her...

She hugs me tightly....

'I love you too Neiv....but....I...
I....am scared...Ishu aunty thinks I am the best daughter in law for your family...but I'm scared' she said digging her face in my chest...

While I smiled saying...
'You are my Chaahat...you are the best baby...and believe me we can make this succesful...are you ready to take the big plunge baby?' I asked while she still digged her face in my chest...

And I heard a small 'Hmm'

That was my world ❤️

It meant universal happiness to me...

I lifted her up little more while I pressed her small body to the nearby wall... like she was a little painting...

She lifted her head up and saw me... and I captured her lips...I kept kissing her nonstop and smiled through the kiss...

I felt like I was living a dream ❤️🥺

I was so happy today 🥰
