Argus can be a pretty charming guy, overall, but he definitely isn't a good guy. Something inside of him is twisted and disturbed causing all that charm to easily fade away after literal minutes. He likes having his way and when things aren't going his way he can be quite whiny about it, like annoyingly whiny.
Argus has his good moments, his kind moments, but they are easily short lived with anyone. He really lacks empathy and compassion unless it has to do with himself. When he's trapped in a corner (mostly by his own doing) he will either try to fight or weasel his way out of things.
He doesn't intentionally start fights or arguments but life just leads him there anyways as he can be very problematic.

Argus comes from a particular family. Growing up for Argus meant living off nature and by that things were meant that all their food was homegrown whether plants or animals, and all of their belongings were hand carved.
Argus absolutely hated his life growing up but he was favorited by his father for having abnormally twisted views on life and on women.
Argus took after his father but at a much worse degree. His violence was unchecked, his predatory nature was encouraged and eventually his elder brother Geir found out exactly what Argus began doing in his teenage years. Argus had a relatively "fun" time doing things to women, things that will not be written out, but when his older brother found out it was probably the worst day of Argus's life.
Geir beat the ever living hell out of Argus to the point where he actually did die for seven minutes before his father brought him back to life. After being brutalized by his elder brother Argus sought out a new life away from his family but before he left he had one thing in mind - revenge. When Argus was nineteen he had gone behind his older brother and he stabbed him a total of seventeen times before realizing it was actually his elder brother Freki he had murdered. From then he went through with his plan and left home, frantically.
