Personality: Ping is a generally easy going, well-liked individual. He can be uptight and quite serious, in that he has a mission and he will not stray from it, and that he follows orders exactly, but when he's in a more relaxed state, he's quick to smile or offer a kind word. With the great potential to be incredibly tense, even terrifying, he is very protective of the people whom he holds close to his heart, whether they hold him close in return. A serious young man, he's incredibly loyal and incredibly honorable. Following his own strict honor and moral code, nothing and no one will knock him off that path. He's a kind hearted soul, but he's also incredibly ruthless. A man of multitudes and conflicting traits, he is a brutal, violent being when he wants to be. His violence is always controlled and measured, even in extreme circumstances - every act of violence he commits was carefully thought out and deemed acceptable before he follows through with it. In that way, people can trust that whatever decision or action or words that come from Ping are fully his own, with the conviction and finality of a man who stands by what he says and does. A young man whose mind is hardwired for strategy and battle, he sometimes seems like a man out of time, like he'd be better suited amongst a war of old than in the modern era. There is an old school charm and chivalry to Ping that endears him to people. Deeply respectful and thoughtful, he is easy to feel safe around. It often means that those who feel safe around him do so because they truly are safe - he makes it quite clear when he isn't a safe space for someone. Ping follows orders through, no matter what they are, unless they violate his own moral and honor code. His devotion is usually hard won, though when it comes to family he will never falter in his loyalty to them. A kind-hearted and honorable man full of a deep rooted violence and brutal ruthlessness, there are many sides to Ping. He's very deliberate in every action he takes and every word he says. A patient and wise man, his violence comes about casually, with very few warning signs. Still, Ping is a man on a mission and he will stop at nothing to see it done.

Backstory: Ping Patrick Bartholomew Sanchin's second and hidden name is Patrick Bartholomew Tupper, an identity he learned later in life. The son of a single mother, Ping grew up in a household of love and light and life. His mother was the kindest, sweetest, most lovely being there ever was. With a heart that consumed all, she was joy incarnate. He was cherished and loved, raised to be the kind gentleman that he was. He had a happy childhood and a happy home, growing up mostly in The Hood. His mother didn't talk about his father much, just said he'd been a dangerous but wonderful man who loved the two of them greatly. Said that he would be proud of the fine warrior his son was growing up to become, but that life had taken him from them. It wasn't until Ping's mother passed away and he inherited her things that he learned what his mother had kept from him all these years. His legal name was Patrick Bartholomew Tupper, son of the nefarious Nightwalker Alpha Andrew Tupper, younger brother to his even more infamous daughter Penelope Blake Tupper. He learned that his parents had met when his father was on a mission, back in the days where he was still contractable. He'd been hired to track down Ping's mother, a run away from a cruel pack back in China. The eldest daughter of the Alpha, she'd run away from an arranged marriage to a man twice her age who liked to beat her, hurt her anyway he could. She'd managed to escape to the United States, but her pack lost track of her after that. Andrew had spent months tracking her, finally coming across her in Chinatown in San Francisco. He watched her for a while after finding her and fell in love with her from a distance. She always had a smile on her face, greeted everyone with warmth and kindness in the restaurant she worked in. She was infectious. Andrew integrated in her life, introduced himself, spent time with her. One night, he told her who he really was and what he'd been hired to do, but that he wouldn't do it. That was the night that his mother told Andrew she was pregnant. He had to return home, back to Penelope and his pack, and he brought Ping's mother with him. No one knew the nature of his parents relationship, assuming Ping's mother to just be another one of Andrew's strays - he brought so many into the pack. He sent back falsified proof of her death, was paid, and put that money into a bank account for her. His mother worked at the Nightwalker nursery for the first four years of Ping's life. Ping grew up, for a time, with his sister - though Penelope never knew the little boy she had to watch sometimes was her brother. Then, they moved. Away from the Nightwalker's, to The Hood. Ping remembers only a little bit of this time, but as far as he knew The Hood had always been his home. He learned his mother's home pack had grown suspicious, that someone had ratted his mother out. Though the issue was handled, his parents decided it was best that they stay away. That Ping would never be safe so long as rumors kept circulating that his mother lived. By the time Ping learned of this, he was 21 years old. His father had already died, and now his mother had joined him. He read every letter his father wrote his mother, all under false names. He read his mother's journals, and around his neck he wears the Tupper family seal - the Nightwalker seal - in the form of a ring; a ring his father had made for him, matching to one Penelope had as well. Inside the openable seal were the initials 'AT' and 'PBT' with Ping's date of birth - the exact same thing as Penelope's, only hers held her date of birth. In the four years since learning the truth, Ping has done insane amounts of research on the Nightwalker's, their history dating all the way back to the inception of Black Moon, and the various attacks and murders and crimes that are whispered to be connected to the infamous gang of a pack. Now, Ping journey's to the Nightwalker's with his father's letters, his mother's journals, and his family ring. He wishes to join his sister, get to know her, and reconnect their family which had long since broken. He may not know Penelope, but she is family, and family is everything.

Other: Ping will only ever be in a relationship with his destined mate, whomever they may be
Ping has the same golden eyes as his father and sister - a Tupper trait passed down through generations
The son of two powerful Alpha bloodlines, Ping is quite powerful, however his power is deeply contained; people really only sense it when he wants them to
Growing up in The Hood, he was a warrior and patrol wolf, however he always had an itch for violence - another Tupper family trait - so he took part in fighting rings; he was an undefeated champion
Ping has an excellent mind for history and battle; he truly gives off the vibes of general of old
Ping speaks Mandarin and Cantonese; despite growing up in America, he grew up with a heavily accented mother, meaning he has the faintest Chinese accent and inflection when he speaks English
He is prepared for Penelope's disdain and disbelief, and he knows he'll likely need to prove himself, but surely she'll have room for her brother?
Ping may be a little hopeful and naive in his hopes
He has no idea if Penelope knows he exists or doesn't
He has his mother's name, 佳 (Jia) tattooed on his chest, over his heart
He tries hard to live his life in his mother's image, but he has a lot of his father in his despite never truly knowing the man
He and Penelope are five, nearly six, years apart in age
He is a master swordsman and he carries his jian, a traditional Chinese sword, with him everywhere
He has not taken off his family ring since getting it; it is always worn on a necklace around and tucked into his shirt
Ping still hasn't had his first kiss, or even held someone's hand save for his mother's
Physical touch is foreign to him, lest it be familial and from his mother, or violent in a fight; physical affection among friends isn't something he's ever experienced, but words and actions were prevalent instead
While scared to be leaving home, he just feels like he needs to give Penelope and the Nightwalker's a chance - she is the only blood relation he has left in this world, discounting his family back in China
Ping doesn't drink but he does smoke from time to time; he used to have a bad cigarette habit that he's (mostly, kinda, maybe not) broken
He does want kids one day, whether he has them with a partner or becomes a single dad
He already loves Penelope, though he doesn't yet know her - he knows it won't matter, he'll love his sister anyways
