(hers is the wolf on the left)
Personality: Liesel is a fairly serious, astute, high-class individual. Always immaculately put together, she is an extreme perfectionist that hides just how desperately perfect she wants everything. An organized, calculated, and tightly-tied individual, she's the exact opposite of her twin. While Liesel most certainly has her friends, she's far more reserved and pulled back from people overall. Never one who wants to ruin her outfit, lose control, or look weak or vulnerable in front of others, she has a life plan and she is going to stick to it at all costs. Sacrificial when it comes to acheiving what she wants, she is just desperate enough - at least at times - not to care about how she meets her goals, so long as she meets them. That said, she isn't inherently a bad person, quite the opposite. She is someone who cares deeply about the people in her life and just wants what's best for them, though she lacks the full ability to truly open herself up completely far all people save her twin. She is also someone who gets eaten alive by guilt and regret, though she doesn't usually let that stop her from making mistakes. Still, as tightly wound as Liesel is, she is actually fairly pleasant to be around when one knows how to. She may not be super rambunctious, but she does enjoy herself with friends from time to time. While she has her own secret desires and wishes, she often pushes what she wants aside in order to fulfill what she needs - or, rather, what she perceives as a need. Her goal? Become the Weissen Alpha and be everything her people need, bringing them into a new age, and expanding relations to the US. She has lofty ambitions, low self-esteem, and desperate compulsion for perfection. That may seem like a lot to handle - and it most certainly is, as the closer one gets to her the more it's revealed how much of a mess she is - but she's also incredibly stubborn. While she may struggle to lean on others, it's a skill some try to teach her. Still, she's someone people find themselves wanting to be around, and when some genuine bits of peace and genuine happiness crack through to the surface, she's truly a sight to behold. Still, tied tightly by her desire for perfection, success, and acceptance, she's one wrong move away from shattering.
Likes: her identical twin, success, perfection, being rewarded/acknowledged, her pack, family, classic novels and poetry, cheesy romcoms, control
Dislikes: being vulnerable, imperfection, failure, losing control of her emotions, losing the narrative of how she is viewed, lack of control, the pressure of her family, her anxiety
Powers: shifts into a wolf (looks above); heightened speed, senses, strength, durability, and reflections while in human form
Alpha power; when together, Liesel and Leonie can actually siphon one another
Backstory: Liesel is the elder twin of Leonie Weissen, the two of whom are in-line for the Alpha title of their home pack, back in Germany. It's a pressure that has been put on the two of them their whole lives and it was one that Liesel quickly fell victim to. From a young age, Liesel always had the compulsionary desire to please her parents and earn their favor, and if that meant becoming the best damn Alpha her pack had ever seen, then so be it. At first, this seemed great, until it became clear Leonie was a natural at everything. Liesel had to work twice, three times as hard as her twin for the exact same results, which added more pressure to her shoulders, especially when she would fall behind. While sometimes a small resentment would threaten to grow, a kind word and bright smile from her twin would dissipate those feelings. It wasn't Leonie's fault they were good at everything, and her twin did always try to help whenever Liesel let it slip that she was struggling. So while Leonie's life seemed carefree - whether by design or because it actually was - Liesel's effort and dedication curried her parent's attention and even more pressure. She did whatever they asked, whenever they asked, slipping here and there as Leonie got her to remember to act their age. It always seemed like her punishments were always so much worse, and it's because they were - are. Their parents long ago shifted their expectations for the twins, and higher expectations means more disappoint when Liesel fails to live up to them. But it's okay, she's pushing through it. While she may not have the power advantage - which is, usually, the deciding factor - she has poured herself into every other aspect of being an Alpha with the hopes the title will pass down to her. Even entering in an arranged mating/marriage agreement when she was 15 - to be completed after her schooling, when she returns to Germany - she's given up a lot for a future she doesn't actually want, but one she's convinced herself she does. Going to Luna Scientia to study in their Political Science and Leadership programs, it was no surprise when Leonie tagged along. With a packed class schedule, and as the President the Student Senate, Liesel has a lot on her plate.
Other: Liesel is the elder twin of Leonie Weissen
Liesel speaks English with a German accent that borders on a posh British accent; in addition to her native language and English, Liesel also speaks Polish, Spanish, French, and Mandarin
Liesel's true passion is English Literature and old Victorian poetry and novels, however it's a passion she mostly hides because if she gives into it too much then she fears she'll abandon the path she is on
Liesel is a huge, hopeless romantic - she may be engaged, but she wants her own crazy, passionate, toxic, intense, desperate love affair before she has to return home and time is rapidly running out
She is the President of the Student Senate, meaning she is in charge of student affairs and conducting the twice a month senate meetings
She has interned with a local, human government just to see how they operate (she worked at the Pennsylvania State House under the Governor last summer)
She lives in an on-campus, 4-person suite with her twin and two other roommates
She's the most honest and vulnerable with Leonie, but even then it can take a while to come clean
Leonie has an undiagnosed anxiety disorder and struggles with bouts of depression every so often; she also has undiagnosed OCD
She loves cheesy romcoms and trashy, smutty romance novels but again these are deeply hidden interests that she would loathe to be caught enjoying
She is always immaculately dressed, and she doesn't necessarily fit the occasion of class or casual, everyday life, but no one can deny she looks good
She gets along best with Frederick and Vanessa von Weissen out of her cousins, but finds the whole of Crimson River a bit distasteful, though she does keep in touch
A small, traitorous part of her never wants to go back home and just stay in the states - she will absolutely delay their return as long as possible and has already started the process by applying to a master's program with Luna Scientia
She is desperate for perfection and is incredibly hard on herself when she feels that she has failed to meet those standards
She can fight, but it isn't her strong suit and she prefers not to
