Personality: Ebony is far more gentle than people first expect. Alpha blood running through their veins, they were raised a rogue, by a single-mother, who gave up everything for Ebony. Raised to be respectful, yet able to stand her ground, Ebony treats everyone - regardless of rank - with a sincere kindness and generosity. Calm and quiet, she is a subtle force. People think her naive, or gullible, or powerless because of her kindness and genuine sincerity and love for other creatures - but she is far from it. Able to stand her ground, the strength that can emanate from her is truly astounding. More quick and reliant on words, Ebony isn't all that much of a fighter. She has some training, but nothing considered proper and nothing close to what an Alpha should have been taught. She has a keen understanding of others, and is able to read body language incredibly well - listening to heartbeats, watching nano-expressions, analyzing what she knows about someone and what is presented to her by them to figure out who they are. Keenly intelligent, this is again something people underestimate. Nothing about Ebony screams Alpha - her power is nearly undetectable, her wolf is incredibly mellow and kind. People would think her an Omega, and many do, upon first interactions. Not because she is shy, not because she is completely afraid of authority, but because she is so unthreatening, so calm and patient. Backstory: Ebony grew up with a single mother, a bitten werewolf by the name of Priscilla. A rogue, bitten by none other than Redwood Alpha, Jonah Zachariah Miller. Wracked with guilt, her father had cared for her mother, keeping her safe and protected as she adjusted to this transition, trying to make up everyday for what he had done to her - he'd lost control, his wolf had run wild after the loss of his parents and the rush of Alpha power he'd received. The two fell in love and Ebony was the result - her middle name, Marla, was the name of Jonah's mother. However, after Priscilla learned she was pregnant - and after learning that Jonah's parents had been killed, that Alpha's were raised with targets on their backs, she fled. It broke her heart to leave him behind - the two were something rare. True mates, though Jonah never got the chance to mark and marry her, like he thought he would. Priscilla left and raised Ebony on her own - raised her as human. Ebony didn't even know what she was until she was six years old, her wolf lying dormant until she and her mother got into a car accident. Ebony had been terrified, and that was when she learned the truth. She'd been forced into a shift at too young an age and had been stuck in that form for three days, before she was able to shift back. Shifting is always very traumatic for Ebony, who does is as minimally as he can get away with, though he and his wolf had a gentle and tight bond with one another. When Ebony turned 16, they finally learned the complete truth of who their father was - and why their mother had left. And also learned that Jonah had never even known she existed. Having been raised to love her father - told that he was a gentle and kind man, who had loved Priscilla unconditionally, but had been taken from her, this caused a small rift to form between Ebony and her mother - a rift that had been settled by the time she was 20, though forever a small part of them will remain heartbroken over the lost time. Now, at 24, her mother growing weaker - she is sick - Ebony has demanded that they return to Redwood, that Priscilla see Jonah one last time before she dies. She seeks for nothing from Jonah, he just wants his mother to die having seen the man she loves at least one last time.
