Personality: Dustin is a fairly stoic guy, with the ability to relax around people he cares about and knows. Stern and harsh in outward appearance, his personality can match that to an extent, at least when it comes to his responsibilities and people who need stricter treatment. However, he always helps when he can. Always. If someone is in need, he will do what is in his power to help, so long as someone of a higher rank doesn't force him away with a powerful command. Regardless of who needs the help, he'll usually help them, even those who, morally, might not deserve the help. He is sort of like a doctor in that regard - doctors have to treat whoever comes into their hospital. Dustin has to treat whoever he stumbles across. With people he cares about, loves, or knows on some level, he is a bit more relaxed and open, but how much depends on the level at which he knows and is connected with them. A bit more open with a smile, or a laugh, or a pat on the shoulder, he's still a decently reserved guy. Loyal beyond life, once he finds his mate, they will come before all. A gentleness no one has seen will come forth. Until that day comes, most still see him as a kind guy, but at times hard to approach. He's damn good at his job, though, which makes his trustworthy and respectable in the eyes of his pack. Shockingly great at advice, and incredible at listening, if people need to rant or scream or complain, and want advice to go along with it, he is good for that. He will give unbiased advice - so if you are looking for someone to automatically be on your side, and aren't look for constructive advice, then maybe he isn't the guy you want to go to. Fairly uninvolved in drama, it's a rare day when he has a personal belief or stake on what should be happening, unless it's something concerning the safety of his pack or others.

Backstory: Dustin is the paternal cousin of Jillian Musso (oops if I am adding a family branch that wasn't there, it is now). His mother is the sister of Jillian's father. He and Jillian, though not incredibly close as one may expect cousins of the same pack to be, they have a deep respect for one another, and know the other will always have their back. Growing closer in adulthood, they are slowly repairing the relationship between the branch of their two families. Their parents - Jillian's father and Dustin's mother - had a falling out when Jillian was just a baby, Dustin had been 9. Until Jillian had been born, Dustin was technically heir to Tyler's position. His mother had, foolishly, gotten it into her head that Dustin still deserved to be heir, even though Jillian had been born. Little Dustin had no idea what was going on, and didn't know the reason for the fallout until he was 14 years old. All he knew was he didn't get to see his family a lot, but that whenever he did get to, they were the sweetest people he'd ever met. His aunt Anastasia would always bake him a treat, even if she originally had nothing in the oven. His uncle Tyler would ask him how things were going, and if there was anything he needed help with. Jillian was a little menace, but she was his baby cousin and he adored her. And when she reached fighting age, they'd train together on occasion. Though his parents weren't super happy even with the infrequent visits, they weren't so cruel as to keep Dustin from seeking his other family out. Jillian, though, hardly saw her aunt and uncle, only getting a card on holiday's and birthdays, or spotting them out and about and have small exchanges with them there. When he and Jillian both became adults - Jillian about 10 years younger than he - they felt able to see one another more frequently, and slowly building up their relationship. In the past year or so, their parents have slowly started reconciling again, too - especially after Jillian found her mate, and went through what she has.
Outside of family, Dustin is one of the fighters of the pack, though not an Elite, but beyond that, he's also a Med Wolf. No official PhD, he has been training as a Med Wolf the past few years, so he can also be a field medic, of which the pack has very few. When he's in the Infirmary, his intimidating stoicism is pretty nonexistent, except for when he first walks into a room. But his patients see a gentle side of him that no one else does, his bedside manner is always complimented.
