Personality: Yuka is a bubbly soul, much like his elder sister, Miki. However, unlike Miki, he is a bit more mellow, and far less adventurous - not to say he doesn't like a good adventure. Only, he likes an adventure within the pack confines. Nervous to break rules, he is a follower not a leader, though he is easily won over and convinced to go on rule-breaking adventures (namely by Miki), and is how he often got in trouble. A gentle soul, Yuka is happy to be at home, with his pack. He loves his family, and he dotes on his younger siblings with a serene gentleness that is astounding - as is his patience. Yuka has a backbone when it comes to protecting those who cannot protect themselves - namely children and the elderly - and is deeply respectful of his elders and the hierarchy of pack life. If he were he to ever meet a true Alpha or someone of rank, he would be deeply respectful and offering of his services. Not a fighter, he is swift and fast, one of the best scouts in the pack. His senses of smell and sight are beyond amazing in both wolf and human form, and he can hear things long before the others in his pack can. Also living in the shadow of his family name, he is the gentle and rule-following werewolf to his sister's energetic and rule-breaking tendencies, they balance one another out. Much like Miki, he loves kids, and can't wait to have his own one day. He is truly such a sweetheart.

Backstory: Yuka grew up as the grandson of a former Malamute leader, one considered to be among the best leaders of Malamute pack history. He also grew up the younger brother of Miki Locklear, and was often pulled into her antics, but also had to live in the shadow of the great storyteller. That, and people wondered if the Locklear would produce a second child who was too ambitious and curious for their own good. Yuka fell somewhere between Miki and the tradtional reclusiveness of the Malamute pack. Five years younger than his sister, he was often roped into her adventures and would get in trouble alongside her - but he would always try to convince whoever was discipling them that Miki meant no harm, that they were just trying to have some fun. As they grew, it became clear that Yuka was someone who tried to protect others, no matter what, for big and small things. Only, he doesn't share the same hunting prowess others in his pack do, or excellent fighting skills. Faster than an already incredibly fast pack, he became a scout and occasional runner - running into town to get supplies or messages - and he quickly became one of the best scouts in the pack. Whenever he isn't on scouting duty - which is rarely - he is with the children, acting as their protector. He is in charge of getting them to safety, away from the fighting, and is their last defense. Thankfully, nothing so serious has ever occurred where he actually had to be the last defense. A gentle soul, he can be shy and reserved, and easily flustered, which meant he would get teased on occasion growing up. But now he is respected in his own right, even if he still gets teased from time to time.

Other: He is of Inuit descent, his father being a werewolf of full-blooded Inuit status, and his mother being half-Inuit. He also holds Inuit tribal status, but doesn't venture out to the Inuit territory often.
