🌿 Two Nations 🌿

The Two Nations pack is located across the Minnesota, North Dakota, and Canadian borders. They are called Two Nations due to being in both the United States and Canada, but also as a small nod to the First Nations Indigenous groups in Canada.

The Two Nations pack started long before they took on the Two Nations name (not taking the name and full-pack status until 1889, the same year North Dakota was officially founded) and was initially an Indigenous werewolf community. However, when settlers found their way to Minnesota and beyond, the pack slowly transformed with the colonialist that made their way into their lands. In 1872, the pack officially retreated from the public eye, and have remained relatively separate from human affairs since. Still predominantly an Indigenous pack, plenty of non-Indigenous folk are members as well.

The pack spreads across the three borders, hiding away in what is now seen - in the modern-day - as an Indigenous reservation, though that isn't the truth, they just can't be bothered correcting the humans because they see no point in it.

This pack is a very salt-of-the-earth pack, relying heavily on their land and own labor to maintain themselves. With their own hunters, gardeners, and farm-land and animals, they have little reason to leave their territory, only doing so for fun activities or if they truly need something from a nearby town. Though removed from human affairs, they actually intermingle with humans quite a lot, though no human is allowed in pack lands unless they are mated and marked by a werecreature.

The pack is predominantly a werewolf pack and they place great importance on being descendants of The Goddess and her children. A religious pack, they have religious ceremonies and traditions, but also practice their religion on an individual level. Accepting of the non-religious, they are more amused by atheists than anything else, viewing them the way an adult may find a toddler humorous, and often making no attempt to conceal that fact.

The Two Nations pack is actually a bit pretentious, in that they have little need to go outside their own pack for community, friendship, and needs. A strong-knit community, they have no need or care about outsiders, they mostly care about themselves. That said, and as mentioned before, they interact and intermingle with humans often, going into towns for fun, or shopping trips. They do the same to other packs, accepting invitations to attend other events and travel to other packs, but never inviting anyone within their own territory. They are very protective of their land and they do not let outsiders within their borders unless necessary or unless they have reason to. Their borders are heavily patrolled and trespassers are met with severe punishment, regardless of species and intentionality.

Though not highly known and advertised, those who are fighters and patrollers are incredibly skilled in combat, both with weapons, hand-to-hand, and in their wolf forms.

Despite being highly private, the Two Nations pack is allies with the Zion Rock pack and often grant certain members of that pack entrance into their territory. An alliance was forged about 80 years prior when the daughter of their Alpha was revealed to be the destined mate of the son of the Alpha of Zion Rock. Only the descendants of this pairing (currently not the Rover Alpha Family in charge of Zion Rock, but rather their cousins) are granted entry to the Two Nations pack, but regardless the packs are very closely allied.
