Personality: Makoa is a very carefree, adventurous spirit. Constantly wanting to try new things, exploring, and getting into trouble, she really is just a good soul to her core. Yes, definitely a troublemaker, she pretty much never has malicious intent in her actions. Earning the nickname Ripple for the ripple-effect she has, one small action tends to spiral out of her control, sometimes in good ways, but mostly in disruptive ways. A busybody, she can never seem to do one thing or stay in one place for long, unless she's in the water. She could, genuinely, spend pretty much all day in the water. People joke she's actually part mermaid, but truly it's impressive how long she's out there. One of the strongest, if not the strongest, swimmers in the pack, she's instrumental in their hunting/fishing trips. Able to hold her breath among the longest in the pack, that too, is extremely helpful. Among the pack, Makoa is well-liked and easy to get along with. Due to her inability to stay stagnant, she's constantly lending a helping hand to whomever may need it, just to keep busy. She's reliable - even if she doesn't volunteer her help, if you ask she'll drop everything to help out in whatever way she can. A known trouble maker throughout the pack, she's incredibly respectful of her elders. Even when she's being chastised, it's hard for people to keep the smile off their faces. Her antics are fun and larger-than-life and it's hard not to find the amusement in it. A free-wheeling individual, she's can be found anywhere on the island, even the places where the pack are warned against going to, for their own safety. Living on the wild side of life, she's filled both with great purpose and a great longing. Her pack and her island are her home, but sometimes she wants to see what the rest of the world has to offer. Allowed on expeditions to the main islands to sell their catches - for that's how they make a lot of their money, among selling hand-crafted jewelry and clothes - it's the farthest she's ever been from her pack, save for the few political trips she was allowed on. Still, Makoa is just a good heart with an adventurous spirit who always looks forward to whatever the day may bring. A positive soul, she's spreads that wherever she goes.

Backstory: The daughter of the leaders of her pack didn't mean little Makoa got special treatment. She was raised communally, same as the other children of her pack. Obviously held in some esteem due to her parents, Makoa has always been an infectious spirit of positivity. The Kahuna, her uncle, likes to say she was born laughing - though not literally true, it may as well be. Makoa has always been a happy soul - she hardly cried, she hardly fussed, but her laughter could be heard all the time. The second she was able to walk, she was constantly on the move, being chased around as she attempted escape. However, she knew how to swim before she could walk, and that has always been her true love. Any chance she could get into the water, Makoa would. Learning how to surf as a child, it's one of her passions to this day. A skiller hunter, and an even more skilled swimmer, Makoa has always been a big asset to the pack in that way. Able to swim in even the strongest currents, she has the makings to be one of the strongest swimmers in their packs history. Makoa made friends easily among the pack, and though she obviously had her tiffs with people here and there, she has always been the one to try and make sure everyone had a good time and that they were getting along. She was also the orchestrator of most of their hijinks, big and small. The eldest of her parent's children, it is still unclear if she will take the mantle of leader alongside her future mate - quite frankly, Makoa isn't sure she wants it. Though a high honor, she doesn't feel like a leader, even though she truly is a natural leader. People flock to her, because when she isn't causing playful trouble, she is truly great in a crisis. Always putting herself between others and harm, she would make a great leader of the pack one day. Until then, though, she's going to keep holding on to the freedom her life offers. Thinking about taking a travel year, Makoa is still, in some ways, finding herself. She feels like she's still searching, that there is more for her if only she can find it. Incredibly proud of her family, her culture, her language, and her pack. Makoa can see herself no where but home, in the long-run. Still, she wants the chance to meet and get to know others, especially those most different to herself. A free spirit, Makoa is a fountain of love just waiting to give it.

Makoa lives in her own, small treehouse in the community - a small space which she will move out of when ready or when she settles down, but that works well for her
Makoa is very physically affectionate with her friends, more so than anyone else, except for her partners if/when she has them; she's the kind of person who shares a simple kiss among friends
