Personality: Acadian is a highly intelligent young woman who values knowledge above all else. Though flirtatious and playful, she is truly wise beyond her years. Deeply rooted in her religious and cultural beliefs, Acadian is also a bit slippery. Not one you should readily trust, she deals in the darker areas of life. Living in the shadows, so to speak, she always seems to be at the center of things. Careful and cautious, she may be at the center of things, but there is never any proof tying her to anything. With a reputation that often precedes her, Acadian certainly lives up to the tall tales spun about her. Sometimes appearing larger than life, she leans into the mysticism and skeptics, using people's doubts and suspicions against them. She's the kind of person whose style of foreplay is intellectual debate and fighting; she is a very contrary person at her core. Loving a good fight - one of intelligence, scheming, and strategy - she doesn't associate with people who don't challenge her in some aspect. Acadian always seems to need a challenge, something to occupy her mind - if something isn't naturally there, she creates her entertainment. At the center of her own crime ring within her pack - a pack within a pack, so to speak - she is certainly someone that should be handled and trusted with caution. All that said, she is a woman of her word who deals with bargain - so long as people stick to their end of the bargain, she'll stick to hers. However, she's great at finding the loopholes, 'breaking' her bargains without actually breaking them. All that said, Acadian is actually a cool person to be around. She takes care of her own, valuing loyalty - even if it is just loyalty to a bargain - and intelligence above anything. Respect goes a long way with her, and if she is shown respect, she will return it in kind. Though she holds judgements for those she deems unintelligent, she believes everyone has their purpose in life, and if she can help people achieve theirs, she will. Though some of her actions may be noble, they aren't always driven by noble desires and pursuits. A good game of cat and mouse is something Acadian will never pass up. Her weakness? Games, puzzles, and her need to win. Once a game starts, she simply can't let it go, to the point she is obsessive about it. She may be hard to beat, but it isn't impossible. Powers: Like many in her bloodline, she does have an innate gift, and hers is tied into bargains/promises. Once a bargain/promise is made with Acadian, it becomes binding, bound by magic - Acadian can sense with the bargains/promises have been broken, a icy feeling spreading out from her heart through her whole body. Those who break the spell face consequences - either magical ones or from Acadian herself, sometimes both.

Backstory: Acadian is the elder cousin of Marcellus and Mayfair LaRue, niece to Donatella LaRue, the Council Leader for the Human faction - Acadian's mother is Donatella's sister. Part of the powerful LaRue line that blended with vampires, Acadian did inherit innate powers, making her a witch - a human with diluted vampire blood - same as her family. That said, and despite being religious, she doesn't flaunt it or showcase it like many in her family. Her powers are rumored - she has never given confirmation one way or the other. People just know that to make a bargain with Acadian is to suffer greatly if you break it. From very young, Acadian got involved in the underground of New Orleans and The Occult, thanks in part to her father. The black sheep of the family - save for Marcellus LaRue, who has more than earned that reputation - because her mother married a criminal of the Underground, Acadian grew up removed from her family. The Underground, as they are called, is the gang within The Occult pack, dealing with all manner of illegal activities - drug trafficking, illegal substances, smuggling - you name it, the Underground has and will do it, for the right price. The daughter of Ayani Prince, the leader of the Underground, Acadian is set to inherit his position. Though a legacy, she has also more than earned her right to govern the gang. Able to toe the line of proper society and their criminal organization, she has greater reach than most in her position have ever had. She is still a LaRue, after all, and there are still certain expectations of her within society. Expectations she twists to her own gain. Able to cavort among the upper echelon of the pack, as well as the criminal enterprise, she is bridging a gap by corrupting some of the pack leaders with her bargains. She may be a snake who takes advantage of those who get in over their heads, but she is a damn convincing one. Not particularly close with her cousins, really only seeing them around the holidays and family gatherings, she doesn't feel she is missing out on much. She certainly keeps tabs on her family, but she is more than happy with the life she is living. Working behind the scenes to make Gully Pierce's Hybrid Faction a reality, she will have a Council Leader in her pocket if all goes according to plan. Not someone who should be underestimated, she echoes crime bosses of old, whom everyone knows their occupation yet can't quite stick any crimes on her. Acadian is too smart to go down for anything, even if she did it, but she doesn't pretend to be anything other than what she is. Well connected throughout her pack and beyond - even having some of the regular human government in her pocket - she's just looking for her next challenge.
