Personality: Lorelei is very reserved. She is observant and incredibly smart. She is mellow and some would say monotoned. She has a dark sense of humor with sly, quiet remarks that very few actually hear. Always the quiet girl in school, she wasn't someone who grew up with a lot of friends. Considered non-traditional in most circles, and weird and creepy on top of it, she can actually be quite sweet and protective. She has a quiet, subtle sort of power and intellect that most people don't pick up on and tend to overlook. She has a sharp control over her emotions and impulses. She leads with logic most of the time, yes, but she is far more emotional than people tend to realize. Most don't pick up on it, but Lorelei feels things deeply. She is physically and literally incapable of feeling any sort of emotion in small, regulated quantities. Despite this, she does her best not to let emotion lead her decision making. However, it often does, though she is good at putting up a seemingly logical explanation for her plans and wishes, only her sister able to really see through it. Very into expression and art, Lorelei has a small rebellious streak within the eyes of greater society. Simply into free speech and expression, she doesn't see what she does as anything more than that, even if she's breaking the law. Used to being a loner, she is deeply possessive and protective of those she cares about. Clingy and affectionate, she goes to the extreme for those she loves. Love is tricky for her. It is the one emotion she has trouble controlling, whether it is familial, platonic, or romantic. Very into art and writing, she uses it as a medium to express herself and regulate her emotions. Her art is her soul. It is Lorelei at her most vulnerable. Very few get to see the truth depth of her art, though she has had pieces up in galleries. Embracing of pain - emotional and physical - people sometimes do get really weirded out by her tolerance. People fear her, which is a combination of her strangeness and her intelligence and her interests. If you can look past all that and see the person beneath, you'll find someone who will be in your corner so long as you treat her right.

Backstory: Lorelei grew up alongside her sister, Tallulah, who is the same age as her, despite not being twins. Growing up, she was always happy to be in Tallulah's seeming shadow. No one understood her the way her sister did, no one was so open and understanding. Tallulah is the one person who has never judged her, who has been supportive of her at every turn. Bullied in school growing up, she would be lying if she said she wasn't satisfied by the way her sister would put people in their place, until Lorelei gained that skill herself. She learned that if she cultivated her interests and herself in such a way, it could be unnerving to people. Yes, they would still be mean and say terrible things, but the satisfaction of frightening them made it all worth it. Lorelei was unaware she was a shifter until the age of 13, when Tallulah forced her into a shift - accidentally - when she shifted. Lorelei had been terrified, but she never once blaimed her sister. Lorelei seemed to change slightly after the shift. She grew quieter, but sharper. She was able to freak people out more with her inhuman grace and stillness. She would sneak up on people, she would let her cat eyes flash so fast people thought they imagined it. She let the rumors about her spread and fly. If it had been anyone else, maybe an adult would have taken it more seriously and she would have exposed herself and her sister as being shifters, but the reputation she cultivated for herself made it so adults brushed it off as the other students simply being creeped out by the 'otherness' that was Lorelei, or that they were simply being mean and spreading rumors to isolate her further. It wasn't until high school that Lorelei finally found a few people to call friends, who were unnerved by her, but in a good way. She found herself in among the art freaks and the stoners. She found out she was a lesbian, when she fell hopelessly in love with a girl two grades above her. She painted her feelings - Lorelei is more an abstract artist - and no one knew what it meant except Tallulah, who somehow understood even though she was never told. Unfortunately, Lorelei fell victim to falling in love with a straight girl, and she experienced her first heartbreak when her crush found a boyfriend. It was not the first or last time that Lorelei fell hopelessly in love, which only paid off for the first time when she was 19. She had her first girlfriend, she had her first everything. When things ended only six months later, Lorelei's art got dark and hauntingly beautiful. A piece she titled 'Too Much' was featured in an art gallery in New York, which was Lorelei's dream. She never went to college, but she found a little corner for herself in Texas, while her sister went to school. A very small community of art freaks, she feels she belongs, to a certain extent. However, she has always wanted to travel, so after Tallulah's graduation, she finally had her chance. She has had work featured in various galleries across the country, but she also lets her intuition and instincts choose their travel destinations. More in-tune with the spiritual world than her sister, she is drawn to certain places without fully knowing why. She is currently traveling with Tallulah.
