Thijs is a very sweet guy, truthfully. He's a great socializer, a non-stop talker, and just a more optimistic person overall. He enjoys making many people happy and whether that be a complete stranger or someone he knows, he always attempts to get a laugh out of someone. He sits in the middle of Goddess worship; part of him believes while the other part doesn't. When it comes to religious stances he only believes that a mated pair, chosen or true, are the only explanation for a higher power.
Thijs is somewhat of a ditsy person, almost as if he can't fully read a room. He's just always and genuinely in a happier mood almost all of the time. He's doesn't have a wild temper or any underlying emotion that comes out under his happiness. He is genuinely just a very joyful and smiley person. A lot of the time he has to be given instructions multiple times to fully understand a plan.

Thijs was born and raised in Frisia/Friesland, a large providence in the Netherlands. Being the only child was always fun for little Thijs. He was considered spoiled by some but others just saw his parents as a couple who deeply loved their son. All of Thijs's life he was a traveler and boy, did he love it. He and his parents traveled often, all year around, to other family members and at least once a year he'd visit the Redwood territory. His entire life he knew Redwood called to him and with supportive parents they were fully on board with him eventually joining the pack.
Thijs spent most of his teenage years in self-training to eventually join Redwood as a patrol man. Call it a "dream" job if you will, but Thijs was deeply invested in protecting the borders of a pack. Stepping from his teenage years to adulthood, Thijs was fully ready to jump across the sea himself to join Redwood. Even though he was desperately excited to join the big tree pack(what he calls Redwood) his parents came to a stop to get him to fully learn English and become more educated on where he'd be going.
Now at the age of twenty three and fully prepared(in his mind), he is fully ready to join Redwood.
