He's 6'1

Personality: Jove is hospitable and open, but fiercely protective of his tribe and pack. If you need some help, a place to stay, or some food, he will grant that to you with no worries. You insult his people, you can fend for yourself, with no remorse from Jove. Loved by his people - and very influential on the Council - Jove is the epitome of a leader. He always has his people's interests at heart, and he will always do what he can to do right by them. He is open - he will listen to what others tell him and use that information to represent the others as best he can. He is more like a friend than a boss - but he knows when to pull rank if he needs to. Cool and calm in a crisis, people look to him first if something goes wrong. Welcoming to all - he does not judge, so long as you remain respectful of him and his people. If one invokes the rules of hospitality, he will follow them. Meaning he will be a good host - no violence or threats or bloodshed allowed, but the second those rules are violated, all bets are off. Absolutely terrifying when it comes to a fight, he is the fiercest defender and fighter of his people - it was why he was elected Chieftain after the passing of his predecessor, among other reasons. Good with people, he seems to be a gentleman, if not a bit reserved at times. Earning his trust isn't hard to do - it's keeping it that's the hard part. You have to prove to him that you can be trusted, otherwise he'll wipe his hands clean of you and move on. Wise for someone his age, he holds sway with the other Council members and is the second youngest of the seven, older only than Hava Garland. Trusted and consulted, you want Jove on your side if you want Council support.

Dislikes: disrespect, closed-mindedness, destruction of nature, being betrayed

Powers: Shifting into a wolf (looks above); heightened durability, strength, speed, senses, and reflexes while in human form.
He can listen to the wind and interpret it - Windreader

Backstory: Jove is a member of the Hesperus Tribe within the Brokenridge pack. Not the largest tribe, they do hold a lot of sway, due to their deep connection with the cultural and mythical origins of werewolves - they were the first tribe officially inducted into Brokenridge on the treaty. Jove had a normal upbringing - two parents, no siblings, raised by the tribe. Neither of his parents were the former Chieftain - the title isn't passed down through bloodline in Hesperus, but rather through Star Raadings and the confirmation of the Blind Priestess - one must see her before they can officially become Chieftain. Jove did just that - the Blind Priestess gave him the prophecy 'Open your home for greatness shall come.' So he has done just that - every weary traveller or wolf he finds or needs a place, they are welcome to his home. Any pack or tribe member who needs to get away can come to his home. Foreign pack wolves are welcome to his home. He has learned a great many lessons because of this, but has yet to believe he has found the 'greatness' that the Priestess foretold. Having taken over as Chieftan at 25 years old, he is only five years on the job, but he has accomplished much. When he was 13, he started his apprenticeship with the Windreader - the wolf of their tribe that listens to the winds and translates their tellings. Prophecies, warnings, stories, and more can be heard in the wind. Jove possesses the gift. When he turned 18, he left the tribe for a year, as many of Hesperus do when they turn 18, and he used his gifts and expertise in the lands he traveled - he stayed with the packs of Windstorm and Sierra in his year away. Now Chieftain, he just does what he can for his people.

Other: Jove is named after the Roman god, Jove (Jupiter, Zeus's Roman counter-part), a name he earned at 16 during his apprenticeship - his first lone reading had been atop the mountain peak in a thunder and lightning storm
His birth name is Kuvu
He and Hava Garland are usually on the opposite side of matters, but agree when it counts
Jove will listen to matters from all perspectives before making a verbal decision and judgment
He is no longer a Windreader Apprentice, but he still has the gifts
Packs outside Brokenridge don't tend to put stock in the gifts and beliefs of the Hesperus tribe, which he both understands and is heartbroken over
He can be found in wolf form as often as his human form
