(Faceclaim: Mia Carvalho - @miacarvalhoo on Insta)
She's 5'7
Personality: Brenna is quite the sweetheart, though she can look a bit intimidating. She's helpful and kind. She's resilient and strong. She's fun to be around. She is really the life of the party. She isn't the most serious person you'll ever encounter, but she does fall in line when it is needed. She can push things a little far, though she doesn't necessarily mean to, which can cause some people to get annoyed. She doesn't believe in being overly serious and is a firm believer in the idea that everyone needs to let loose every once in a while. She is the person you'll want to go to if you want to loosen up, in whatever way, and she'll be there right beside you on that journey. That being said, she is incredibly loyal, and has a very strong connection to her ancestry and ancestors. She does what she does to make them proud and to carry on their legacy. She struggles with feelings of doubt and disappointment - she knows she isn't what her ancestors and family necessarily wanted when they had her - but she tries. She can put a lot of pressure on herself, but then she'll push any moments of struggle and sadness and emptiness deep, deep down and cover it all up with a smile and some fun. She does give off the vibe of someone who isn't the most reliable, and she isn't necessarily, but she never purposefully fails. She does get sidetracked easily, but in the end she will always come through for those who need her. She knows there are plenty of people who don't like her and she feels pretty lonely within her pack sometimes, but she has a strong desire to defend them even when some of them would never defend her. She is a good person, just sometimes a little all over the place, with her own silent struggles.
Likes: her heritage, tattoos, fun, having fun, light spirits, optimism, hope, training, making people proud, validation, cuddles, spirituality, drawing, the sun/sunbathing, swimming
Dislikes: disappointing herself/her pack/her ancestors, being lonely and sad, being alone, pessimism, losing, destruction and unbridled silence, being cooped up, hopelessness
Powers: shifts into a wolf (looks above); heightened speed, strength, senses, durability, and reflexes in human form
Backstory: Brenna split her time growing up between the Black Moon pack in Kentucky, and the Red Pine pack of California. Summers and Autumns were spent in Black Moon, Winters and Springs in Red Pine. She never felt like she really belonged in either pack, permanent in neither place. When her mother - who was the one in Red Pine - got a mate and had a new family of her own, Brenna felt extra unwelcome and when she was 18, she stopped visiting. She was always closer to her dad, anyways, who always supported her unconditionally, even when her grandparents had tried to pray away the gay when she came out to them. Still, she always felt like an outsider in Black Moon, except when she was with her father. Just the two of them against the world, she felt safe with him. When she moved permanently to Black Moon, he had been thrilled. He stayed in Black Moon as others fled, same as Brenna. They fought to defend their pack and both kept making it out alive. Just a few months ago, her mother had reached out to make amends with her and rebuild their relationship, and Brenna agreed to go out and see her for two weeks. During that time, her father was killed. It wasn't a raid that did it, though he was still murdered, but rather by a vampire with flaming ginger hair. Though she - and Black Moon - are unaware which vampire killed him, though know it was a vampire via the teeth marks and drained blood. Jolene got off completely free. Her father was the only victim of this attack - Jolene had simply gotten hungry in her travels. Brenna immediately rushed home for his funeral and has been in an odd state of grief since. She seems untouched by grief, then some days she'll stay in bed all day, then the next she seems untouched by grief once more. She isn't regulating it the best, but she's still fighting. Her father was her best friend. No one accepted her and loved her the way he did, after she came out. It wasn't like her mother didn't accept her, but she struggled still. Now she feels all alone, as she doesn't have many friends within in the pack, just people she drinks, trains, sleeps aside, and eats with. Bonded through the defense of their pack, she isn't close with them. She's just there for her father at this point. She wouldn't want to see his home lost to the enemy, whom he despised.
Other: She prays to the Goddess every single day
Her mother has Brazilian ancestry and as such Brenna also speaks Portuguese, though not the best
She struggles to open up emotionally to people, but she does actually have friends, even if she doesn't fully realize that she does
She came out when she was 13 years old
She works out every day, not just trains
She loves tattoos - not pictured are the words para a lua ('to the moon' in Portuguese) on the back of her neck in her mother's handwriting, and above those words is 'to the moon' in her father's handwriting; it was something she and her parents would say to one another when they were still together and it is a phrase both parents continued into the current day, it is their substitute (in a way) for 'I love you.'
She has an extremely complicated relationship with her mother. Sometimes things are really good, sometimes really bad. Their personalities perfectly clash. Even though Brenna stopped visiting when she was 18, they talked regularly on the phone.
She always wears a bracelet on her right wrist; a strip of leather that both she and her father wore
Her favorite activity is to go swimming and she can often by found in the river that snakes through the territory
She can draw, and quite well, but she keeps that to herself for the most part, using it as an emotional outlet. Her drawings are very personal to her, and if you get to see them or receive one as a gift, you should feel special
Her resting face/thinking face is quite intimidating, which does also scare people off
