4. The Diner Dinner and Meeting The Moose Again

*HELLO! LONG TIME NO SEE MY PRECIOUS PIES! HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? ENJOY THIS CHAPTER!*

// Castiel's POV

"Gabriel. . .Gabriel get up." Cas whispered and softly shook Gabriel.

Gabriel groaned and shook his head, swatting Cas' hands away.

"Come back next year." He mumbled.

"Sam would've found a girl by then."

Gabriel's eyes opened and he glared at Cas.

"Don't even joke like that."

Castiel smirked and walked away.

"It's pretty late! I'm going to see Dean in a bit and you want to see Sam so you better get up now." He explained and got dressed.

Gabriel groaned and sat up, his hair sticking up everywhere. He slowly made his way to the restroom and fixed himself up.

"Do you think you'll see color with Dean?" He asked, patting down his hair.

Castiel tied his tie around his neck and looked around nervously.

"I-- uh-- I don't know...maybe..."

Gabriel wandered back into the room and got dressed.

"Okay. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

Gabriel turned to look at him and squinted.

"How do you know your tie is blue? You could be wearing a polka dotted one or a rainbow one."

Castiel looked down at his tie then back at Gabriel.

"If it was polka dotted, or in a rainbow pattern I would know. There would be multiple shades of grey."

"50 shades of grey?"

"Shut up."

Gabriel smirked and waited for his brother at the door.

Castiel threw on his trench coat and his phone and they were both out the door and walking towards the flower shop.

// Dean's POV

"Thank you for visiting your friendly neighbourhood flower shop!" Dean waved to the couple leaving.

They didn't ask a single question about what color the flowers were. Dean assumed they could both see it.

"So, where'd you go with the flower yesterday?" Benny asked, coming up behind him.

Dean felt the back of his neck heat up and he fiddled around with the register.

"J-just had to do something...."

"Riiiight." Benny smirked and patted Dean's head before going back to his office.

Dean helped customers find flowers and seed packs or just tips on how to grow their own garden.

"Hello, Dean." He heard that specific voice as he was checking something in the cabinets. Dean quickly stood back up and smiled widely.

"Hey, Cas!" He said.

"Hey, Dean-o!" Someone said behind him, doing a little wave.

"Hey...Gabriel right?" Dean asked. "Skittles guy?"

Gabriel smirked and nodded.

"So, Cas is the brother I told you about-- Skittles brother." Gabriel chuckled.

Dean's eyes widened and Castiel just glared at the both of them when they began laughing.

"He threw the skittles at you?!"

Castiel rolled his eyes and nodded.

"And apparently you sold them to him." He accused.

Dean put his hands up in surrender and smiled widely.

"He hit on my brother-- said he bet he was sweeter than any candy he'd ever had-- the skittles were free."

A smile spread across Cas' face and he slowly nodded.

"Right. Well I'll just wait here for your break then." He smiled and walked around the isles of the shop.

"Dude! Why's you tell him that?!" Gabriel groaned.

"Hey, I needed to explain it to him." Dean shrugged.

"Fine whatever." Gabriel huffed. "So what's with you and Cas anyway?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, you met him yesterday, I don't think you'd be buying him dinner if the only thing that happened was him buying flowers here-- or am I wrong? Did something else happen?!"

Dean felt his face heat up.

"Well I mean-- I kinda-- "

"You guys frick fracked! Didn't you?!" Gabriel gasped.

"WHAT?!" Dean squeaked. "No!"

"Oh, okay. Then what."

Dean looked down at his feet, avoiding Gabriel's eyes.

"I saw color for the first time since-- someone else."

Gabriel's eyes widened.

"No way. Dude! That means he's your soulmate! Ahh! I can't believe this is happening! How did it feel? How did it all look?!"

Dean cracked a smile and looked back up at him.

"Honestly...it was awesome." He whispered. "I was a bit startled at first since I haven't seen color since my ex, but everything looked so beautiful and vibrant. I-- it was so-- ughhh I wish I could see it all the time." He said looking up and sighing.

"Okay-- don't get too sappy." Gabriel laughed.

"Sorry..." Dean smiled and rubbed the back of his neck. "So what are you here for?"

Gabriel stopped laughing and shuffled his feet.

"I uh...I just wanted to see if Sam was here..." he whispered.

And then as you would guess, Sam walked in.

"Hey Dean."

"Speak of the devil..." Gabriel sighed and nervously unwrapped a lollipop.

"Hey Sammy. Look who came to see you." Dean smiled widely.

Sam blushed and glared at Dean.

"H-hi Gabriel." He mumbled.

Gabriel waved and plopped the candy in his mouth.

"Hmm...you guys should formally introduce yourselves. Shake hands." Dean suggested.

"What?! Dean what ar-- "

"And I'm officially on my break! See you guys!" Dean grinned and pulled off his apron. "Benny! I'll be back!"

Dean ran around the corner and ran into the isles.

"Cas! Break time!" He called. And soon he was dragging Cas out of the shop and to their "dinner".

Benny soon walked up to the counter to help customers.

Gabriel looked down at the floor before walking away into the store, Sam following.

They were in the isle with the roses when Gabriel stopped and put out his hand.

((Omg they're gonna shake hands! Will they see color?!))

"Nice to meet you. Name's Gabriel Novak."

Sam smiled and shook his hand.

"Sam Winchester." Sam smiled.

Gabriel's eyes widened.

Color bloomed from their hands and around the shop.

The roses were either a deep red, white, or light pink.

But Sam had no reaction. Whoa-- his eyes were gorgeous but he had no reaction.

Gabriel slowly pulled away and looked at Sam carefully.

"Did you...?" He asked.

"What?"

Gabriel felt his heart drop. What was he thinking? He just met the guy!

"N-nothing." He said, looking down at the floor.

Everything was grey again. Utterly dull and grey.

"We should go somewhere." Sam smiled.

Gabriel looked up at him in confusion.

"What?"

"We should go somewhere." He repeated.

"W-where would we go?" Gabriel asked quietly. He was hoping he would get to spend more time with Sam-- maybe he also saw color but he was just good at hiding it.

"I'm not sure yet. But I'm taking you somewhere...soon."

// Castiel's POV

"Dean where are we going?" Castiel asked, out of breath. So far they've been running around a random building for the past half our.

"I uh...we're going to a diner." He explained, still running. He hadn't even let go of Cas' hand.

Which meant there was color blooming everywhere. It's the longest Castiel's seen color. The longest he's seen Dean's eyes that beautiful green they were.

Then Dean finally began running in a different direction. And soon they were at an actual diner.

They walked inside and sat at the furthest booth in there.

Soon, a redhead carrying two menus and a small note pad and pen walked up the their table.

"Hello. My name is Charlie and I will be your waitress for today." She said smiling and handing them their menus. "What would you like to drink?"

"Uh-- a chocolate milkshake for me, thanks." Dean smiled.

Charlie wrote it down and looked over at Cas, expectantly.

"I'll have water, thank you." He smiled.

Charlie nodded and wrote something down before smiling at them.

"I will be right back with your drinks and to take your orders." She said before walking away.

"So Cas. How's your day been?" Dean asked.

"It's been very nice, thank you. How has your day been?"

"Well it was alright. I think our brothers dig each other." He laughed.

Castiel smiled and nodded.

"It would be nice if they were able to see color like us-- you."

Dean nodded in agreement and fiddled with a napkin on the table. Castiel looked over the menu, trying to avoid eye contact with Dean.

A few minutes later, Charlie came back with their drinks.

"One chocolate milkshake and water. Ready to order?" She asked, setting their drinks down and taking out her notepad.

"Yea. I'll have a bacon cheeseburger, thanks." Dean smiled.

"Make that two bacon cheeseburgers."

Charlie squealed quietly when Dean just stared at Cas for a while before she wrote their orders down and smiled widely at them.

"Coming right up!" She squealed and skipped away.

Dean slowly nodded but kept staring at Cas.

"Uh, Dean?"

"Yea?" Dean asked, totally not paying any attention.

"You're kinda staring at me."

Dean's eyes slowly widened and he looked away, clearing his throat.

"No I wasn't."

"You were totally staring at me."

"Shut up. You were staring at me." Dean pouted.

Castiel laughed and shook his head.

"You're unbelievable." He sighed. Dean smiled widely and winked.

They spent their date laughing at stupid things they could point out and enjoyed their cheeseburgers. Their waitress just sort of squealed happily and fangirled with a different waitress.

// Dean's POV

Dean was walking Castiel home. They were standing a bit close to each other. Their hands brushing against each other's, causing color to fill their worlds just for a second.

They talked about their lives-- not in detail but just talked about what they liked.

"What's your favorite color?" Dean had asked.

"My favorite color was black."

"Was?"

"Yea, was. Now it's green..." Cas mumbled and looked down at the ground.

"Well if it's any consolation, my favorite color has to be blue." Dean smiled.

They reached Cas' house and stood at the door.

"I had a great time, Dean. Thank you." Castiel smiled.

"I had an awesome time too. I'm glad you enjoyed your day. I'll see you tomorrow right?" Dean asked, his eyes full of hope.

"Of course. I'll see if I can stop by the flower shop."

Dean smiled widely and nodded.

"Awesome! Well...bye then."

Castiel smiled and nodded. But instead of going into his house, he looked down at his feet, as if in thought, and then looked back up and pressed his lips against Dean's.

Dean's eyes widened and he saw the world explode with outbursts of color-- brighter than before.

Castiel pulled away, his cheeks flushed red.

"S-sorry! I-- uh-- I should go. Bye." He waved before running into his house.

"Bye..." Dean waved, lost in the trance. He shook his head quickly and smiled widely.

Castiel had just kissed him.

Dean fist bumped the air and did a little dance before running a hand through his hair and walking away.

That day was an awesome day.

He had just met the guy but-- he was sure falling for him hard.
