Chapter 22

It took just about two weeks to reach Orina Field. Normally the tall proud oak tree would greet these weary travelers as a sign that they have made it, but with the proud tree chopped down, it seemed more like a reminder of the last time they all here. When they went to dethrone Termis. A name that Karma would love to forget. That traitor no doubt was somewhere galivanting around Arula. Karma took in a deep breath as she guided her horse over to the tree stump. Jason along with her elven companions followed on their own mounts. Luckily for them, the elves that journeyed with them had extra horses for them to ride across country. Karma hopped off her horse and stood on top of the stump looking over at the dwarves and elves as they all came gathering around and preparing for the fight of their lives.

Karma looked beyond the dwarves and elves and noticed another group marching their way over to Orina Fields. As they drew closer, Karma could see that it was the Ogre Clan. Their brute figures gave them away. They marched over to the tree stump and Karma was surprised to be greeted by King Bosca himself. The last time Karma saw the ogre king it was not on good terms. But the brute king surprised her more when he thump his fist across his chest. "Creator!" He bellowed. "It is an honored to serve you as you had done a service for my people." He motioned over to his arm where Karma could see some of the ogre handling one of her latest creations the baccra. The furry bear-dogs were growling and pulling on their chained leashes. "As you can see, Creator, not only do these creatures work great for our mines, but for our army as well. So for that, we thank you." Karma blinked. She didn't expect this but was glad for the support that was very much needed for this fight. She smiled and thump her own fist over her chest.

"The pleasure is all mine, King Bosca." She said. "I can only hope that we will remain allies after all of this." King Bosca smiled showing a row yellow teeth.

"But of course, I wouldn't have it any other way, my Creator." King Bosca said and joined his army. The last group to show up were the Goblin Clan. Leading them was Lord Hunjer. The goblin lord went up to Karma and bowed his big head.

"Creator," he said in a gurgling voice. "I apologize for our late arrival we goblins aren't the best at long travels." A dwarf in the crowd snorted and muttered,

"always with the excuses, a typical goblin." Lord Hunjer shot a glare into the crowd of dwarves, daring the dwarf who spoke out to show himself. Karma smiled nonetheless and said,

"it does not matter if you are late. What matter is that you are here and willing to fight for your world." Lord Hunjer bowed and smiled at Karma.

"We are at your mercy, Creator, we follow you."

"Suck up!" Shouted a dwarf from the crowd and the dwarves all howled in laughter. Lord Hunjer growled and faced the crowd of dwarves. Karma quickly spoke up before anything else happened between the two clans.

"Attention!" She shouted over the arguing clans. "Please everyone let us not fight amongst ourselves!" Once the crowd has settled, Karma cleared her throat. She was never good at public speaking. In fact, she hated it. She hated when she had to take it in high school, and she hated it now. "Listen everyone, I just wanted to thank you for your dedication today, because as we all know, tomorrow we will march on into Shurli and take it back... again. We all know if we fail, the cloaked man, known as Lester, will release a power beyond our strengths. He will bring titans into our world and destroy it, once he is done with Arula, he will move on to the Otherworld, my birth world. And I cannot allow that to happen. We end it here, before he can get any further." Karma looked over at her companions who nodded in encouragement. Karma took another deep breath in and continued.

"This man has an army of demons at his side along with the royal army. Do not let these demons bite you... their bite is venoms and deadly... I had lost a dear friend to these demons and I do not wish to lose anybody else that is dear to me. I am willing to give my life to fight for this world and it warms my heart that all of you are just as willing as I am." The crowd cheered at that. "All I can say is, rest and be prepared. We bring the fight to them!" The crowd cheered again and Karma hopped off the stump. As she did, Wiltin, an elf that had help with the fight against Termis, came up to Karma.

"Your speech was a powerful one, Creator, we all grateful to be here once more to serve you. King Curlus sends his best wishes." Karma smiled and bowed her head to the red headed elf.

"Thank you, Wiltin. King Curlus is wise, and I am much grateful that he has lent me his army to fight this cause." Wiltin bowed to her and went over to join his clan. Karma walked around the field to see the clan making camp and preparing for the battle tomorrow. It warmed her heart to see all of her creations coming together to join in as one to fight a common enemy. She looked up at the sky to see if the dragons were coming, but it didn't seem that way. Karma sighed and kept walking. She felt a tickle run up along her body and smiled when she saw Shari rest on top of her shoulder. She petted the ferret on the head. "Hey, boy." She said. "Here to give me company." Shari twitched his nosed and rubbed against Karma's jaw. "Well I'm glad we finally reached to some type of agreement over the years." Shari just twitched his nose and scurried behind the waterfall of Karma's hair. Shaking her head, Karma kept walking.

She could not believe that it was coming down to this. This one moment. Not only that, but once she defeated this mysterious man, she can finally unlock all the questions and secrets of this world... she hope. That is what the dragons had promised, wasn't it? Karma sighed and looked down at the familiar green grass. The same grass she watched grow from the beginning of her Creator journey. What once seemed to be a peaceful spot for coming up with new creations, was now a war zone for ending conflicts. Or starting them, Karma thought remembering her favorite tree being chopped down to a stump. Suddenly the ground beneath Karma's feet started to rumble and she heard the sound of marching feet over the horizon.

"Karma!" She heard Jason yell. He was running up to her, stumbling as he did so. He placed a hand on her shoulder and pointed in the direction he had come in. "You have got to see this!" He said and grabbed her hand pulling her along with him. Karma was somewhat confused. What was going on? Was there an ambush? Was the battle already started? Her Questions and concerns where quickly shoved away when Karma saw an army of humans coming their way, and leading that army was Termis. Karma didn't know what to think! She should be relieved? Angry? Hopeful? The emotions were all stirred up that Karma didn't know what to think or do. Termis rode proudly on the horse he had taken and trotted it up to Karma and Jason.

"Ah! Creator!" He said. "What do you think, eh?" He motioned over to the army he was leading. "Sorry for my unannounced absence. I figured that we could use the extra help." Karma stared at Termis in shocked. "These people aren't too happy about what's going on. Between the dragon raids and this so-called 'new ruler' they wish to help out their Creator in any way possible... though don't ask me how I manage to convince them on helping their late king." He chuckled to himself finding the situation amusing.

"I don't believe this..." Karma said looking at the army of humans. The humans came from all over the place. They were fishermen, farmers, blacksmiths, traders, and they came in all sorts. Men, woman, and any fighter old enough and well enough to join the fight. Karma looked back up at Termis and shook her head. "Termis, you are full of surprises." Termis grinned. He turned back to his troops and waved his hand in a circular motion in the air singling the army to set up for camp. Termis turned back to Karma.

"After all, I do owe you one, old friend." Karma smiled.

"Thank you, Termis." The late king of Arula nodded his head and kick his horse in the side making it trot over his troops. Karma turned to Jason and gave him a smile. "Can you believe it?" Jason shrugged.

"It looks like everything is turning out for the better. I don't think that cloaked man has a chance against our army, I mean looked at it!" Jason said and Karma laughed. She wrapped her arms around his waist pulling him into a hug. Jason hugged her back. "What's this for?" He asked.

"For everything. I don't think I would make this far without you." She said and looked up at him. Jason chuckled.

"I'm sure you would have done just fine without me, but I won't argue." They both laughed and looked around the field where the Clans all gathered around preparing for the fight. As Jason had predicted, things were starting to turn for the better as a dark shadow suddenly loamed over the field. The cladder of swords and weapons and chatter all died away. Everyone looked up to see a maleficent sight. The dragons had arrived.

In the throne room, Angel remained chained up. She laid curled up in ball taking a light nap. As she napped, she heard the slight sound of purring. Peeling open an eye, she saw the cat that often roamed the halls of the palace and often levitates towards her master's friend. The cat purred louder and bumped heads with Angel giving the long-tailed fox a small amount of comfort. Moss then climbed into the curl of Angel's long tail and decided to take a nap of his own. Angel didn't bother to shoo the creature away. She was lonely and wanted the company. She placed her own head down and tried to go back asleep, hoping that this nightmare would end.
