Fatal Flaw - LokiXAninator!OC

Loki groaned as he was waking from a strange light hitting his eyes. He reached across the bed, planning on waking his girlfriend to tell her the door was open and a light was on, but his hand never reached her. Her side was cold, and as he opened his eyes, they confirmed his suspicion. She was not there with him. He groggily sat up, looking around she wasn't in the room, it hadn't even been that she fell off the bed. He followed the light, only to find her sat in front of a brightly glowing computer, her eyes dry and wet at the same time, her head bugging her from eye strain, and her ability to stay awake was hanging by a thread. On top of it all, all she was wearing was one of his shirts. Her auburn hair hung in a mess around her, but her make-up free face still as beautiful as ever.

And her big blue eyes, despite obviously sore and tired, still held the most vibrant shade he had even seen in an eye colour. Those eyes... That was how they met.

He had been taken to a cafe by Thor, who had been taken there by Steve. It was a quaint little place, but he supposed it was okay. He had gotten something called a cappuccino, and Thor demanded he order a food item, so he got a small pastry. Both things he deemed worth consuming and could maybe bring himself to go again, so long as others paid. After Thor's excessive talking, he spotted her, blue eyes. Blue eyes so bright, meeting his, before blushing and looking down. He watched her, noticing she kept trying to steal glances, but each time she saw he was watching, her blush got worse and she sunk more in her seat. Soon enough she gave up, flipped a page in her sketchbook, and looked at someone else, before drawing.

So he decided to go and talk to her. She was an artist, and animator. She was there sketching images of people in real life, for poses and to get a feeling of what makes someone look living. She let him see her sketchbook, and he had to admit she certainly was more then amazing. He came across a page filled with him and she blushed harder. However, loving her reaction, he asked to keep it. She took it back, wrote something, and handed it back face down.

"Don't look at it until I'm gone." She had said, and he nodded. Once she left, he turned it over. Written on it was something he later learned was a phone number. And it all went on from there.

When she learned he was the cause of the Battle of New York, it didn't push her away as he feared.

"Often times villains are good people with a tragic flaw and a bad experience. Likable villain 101." She had explained. "For a good villain, the audience still has to like them, they have to love hating them. And, in my opinion, you seem to bring that into real life. I'm pretty sure that you're not the type to do bad unless something bad's happened to you, so it's your fatal flaw, but not irreversible." She stated. And it was around then he fell in love with her.

But now that same woman he loved was being cursed by her own fatal flaw.

"Anna?" He asked, wincing as she jumped. She was always so much more jumpy when she was tired.

"Yeah?" Her voice barely squeaked out. Her eyes had yet to leave the screen.

"Dear... Why are you still awake?" He asked, punctuating the sentence with a yawn.

"Slacked off on one of my jobs, need to catch up." She said.

"Is it due tomorrow?" He asked. She shook her head, still so focused.

"It's due next week, but I don't want to fall behind like that so close to the deadline." She said. She had told him about her issues with procrastinating and how she had done it her whole life. He watched her working away, knowing that she hated being behind now.

"Dear... It's time for bed." He said in a soothing voice, putting his hand on her shoulder. She was freezing cold, and he was a frost giant!

"Just have to finish this scene." She said, her voice almost zombie like.

"Dear, it's three AM, you'll make yourself sick." He said, concerned.

"Really?" She asked, looking at the time. He could tell by how she stiffened, she hadn't realized how late it was. "I... I..." She stuttered out, before she could even continue though, he had picked her up.

"Your fatal flaw is showing." He said, and she looked at him and tilted her head, confused.

"What?" He smiled at her.

"When you learned who I am, you told me my fatal flaw was my anger. Now I'm telling you that this is your fatal flaw. You go to unhealthy extremes between hard work and procrastination. I have learned to balance out my anger. You need to learn how to balance out your work ethic." He said, watching her yawn and snuggle into him.

"I would be the worst villain ever..." She said softly. "Half the time I would be too lazy to do anything." She said and chuckled.

"Yes, I suppose so." He said, and she nuzzled into him.

"Loki?" Her voice squeaked out again.
"Hmm?... Yes dear?" He asked, looking down at her tired features.

"I know your weakness." She said softly.

"I'm not surprised." He said, chuckling softly. "You're my new fatal flaw." He said, and she just smiled.

"And you are mine..." She said. A big smile on her face.

She totally got the Tangled reference.
