Almost anything can be done online,

shopping, watching movies, attending school,

listening to music, reading books and banking,

earning money, the internet is a powerful tool.

It's also a way to communicate,

a simple email is all that it takes,

it's a way of sharing happiness,

it's a way of sharing heartaches.

Berners-Lee used his NeXT computer to invent the web, that computer was the first web server. There are just over 1 billion websites online, there are more devices connected to the internet than there are people on earth. Jean Armour Polly was the person to first use the term "surfing the internet" this was in 1992.
