Today is International Day of Peace,

a time for mankind to end war,

a time for all hostilities to end,

do they really know what they are fighting for.

It's a time to show humanity,

in togetherness we can delight,

put behind us all racial hatred,

and show in peace we can unite.

Today is a day for non violence and non confrontation, peace, please.

September 21st is dedicated to World Peace and hopefully a ceasefire in war zones for humanitarian aid access. It was in 2001, on the opening day of the United Nations General Assembly, that it adopted resolution 55/282PDF making September 21st International Peace Day, this was under the guidance of General Secretary Kofi Annan. At least one day of peace is a start, something to build on hopefully.
