Today it is United Nations Day,

an organisation that cares about humanity,

it was formed after two world wars,

to make sure we never again face such insanity.

The United Nations officially started this day in 1945,

the charter agreed upon by Britain and France,

the Soviet Union, United States and China,

and many more, to give peace a chance.

Membership to the United Nations was open to all peace loving countries. The United Nations was officially formed on October 24th 1945, the charter being ratified by the five major powers, Britain,China, France, Soviet Union and the United States, today the organisation has 192 members with the headquarters being in New York USA.
