Chapter 5
Max Levesque
"Wooohoo!" Clair squealed in my ear. She was overjoyed and overwhelmed, and one thing, I didn't know before, but now I do, she's a lightweight. She literally can't hold liquor at all. You should look at her.
"I'm so fucking happy Maxy! Today is my birthday. Yay!"
"Yeah..." I said awkwardly. "Happy Birthday, Clair."
"Thank you. I love you so much Max. You're such a sweetheart!" She couldn't even stand straight. I held her to prevent her from falling.
"Clair, you're drunk."
"I don't care. Take me to my office." She said.
"Okay." I almost dragged her to her office. Once she sat on her chair she shrugged out of her suit and started folding her sleeves. She drank water out of her glass and glanced at me.
"Max, why are you wearing a tie?" She said standing up and making her way towards me. "No one wears a tie until it's some client meeting or presentation. Even grumpy Jay does not." She chuckled pulling my tie out of my collar after undoing the knot. She started undoing my buttons.
"Wha- what are you -" She cut me off as she pressed her lips onto mine. Just seconds later, she pushed me onto her table and started working on the buttons of my shirt.
"Clair, stop. You're drunk." I protested.
"I'm sober enough to know what I'm doing, Max." She said. And she did sound a lot sober.
"But we're at your office. There are CCTVs, Clair."
"I don't care, Max. And just so you know, I've done this before." My eyes widened at what she said. This was so out of character for Clair. She reattached our lips after that and this time I kissed her back.

My alarm went off waking me up. It was finally the weekend, but I wanted to wake up early because I had some shopping and socializing to do. My head felt heavy, probably for the liquor last night, even though it wasn't much, just a bottle or two of bear. I made my way towards the bathroom.
I picked up the brush and put ample amount of toothpaste on it. When I started brushing my teeth and my eyes found myself in the mirror in front of me, I noticed the many hickeys on my neck and chest. They were nothing unexpected considering the events of last night, but the fact that they came from Clair was still surprising. But now I had a problem. How to hide them?
After showering and changing into a blue shirt, which hid the spots, I dried my hair and ran my fingers through it. There was a text on my phone as I checked it.
Clair Williams : Morning!
This was the first time that Clair ever texted me.
Me : Good Morning.
I texted back.
Clair : Was last night better? ;)
Whoa! This seriously does not sound like her. But guess I didn't know her that well.
Me : It sure was.
Clair : Good to know. Btw, we need you at office today. Casuals allowed and try to be as early as possible. PS, sorry for ruining your weekend. :P
Me : 'S okay. I'll be there as soon as possible.
Hah! So much for socializing! And so much for enjoying my weekend.

I knocked on the door before entering Clair's office. I don't really know why, but I was feeling weird after what happened last night.
"Oh, hello!" Clair greeted me with a grin.
"Hi!" I gave her a tight smile and took a seat.
"What?" She asked.
"What?"
"You're acting weird. You're not your usual self."
"Nah! It's nothing."
"Hey, is it about yesterday?" She asked.
"Uhhh... kind of."
"Look Max, you don't need to feel awkward about it. I probably shouldn't have done that, I'm sorry. You're probably weirded out... are you weirded out?" Clair started rambling.
"Clair, stop freaking out! You're freaking me out too. It's not a big deal, relax!"
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Positive."
"So... you liked it?" She teased wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.
"Clair, come on!"
"Kidding. Let's get to work."
"I can't say I didn't." I spoke and she looked up from her laptop screen. She raised her eyebrows and I shrugged. "You know... last night."
She grinned at me and I mirrored her expression.
