Marinette's POV

It was a Sunday and I lay down in bed. I couldn't get the thought of Adrien's clinginess out of my mind.

Flashback:

"She's my maid!"

As this continued to run through my mind, Natalie came in:

"Hello there Marinette." She said in her emotionless voice

"O-oh, hey Natalie."

"Oh I know that look" she said with a smug face

"W-what?"

"Let me guess, you're wondering why Adrien is so clingy." She said smirking

"WHAT THE! HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?!"

"Adrien used to be clingy to me too. When I was still a normal maid in this house, I used to go with Adrien to school when he was Grade 1-3. The teenagers there used to catcall me, and Adrien would yell at them." She stopped to giggle

"What did he yell?"

Natalie mimicked Adrien's tone: "She's my maid."

We both giggled

"So, did you find out why he yelled that?"

"Well, I later found out that his mom died when he was born. So he's never had a mother figure in his life. It was always his father on business trips and other......unusual things........" she said

"O-oh. So, if he thinks of me as a mother, why does he disrespect me so much?"

"Well, since you're still his age, he still finds it fun to tease you. Yet, he'll still protect you like his mother." She said in a soft and more emotional tone

"O-oh......man I feel bad for being such a big meanie to him."

"It's fine, we've all been there." She said smiling.

"N-no! As in, I'd call him blonde-brat....a-and......"

"Oh yeah? I used to call him catitude! Because even he always had an attitude like a pissed off cat!" She said laughing

We laughed together

"Man Natalie, I never knew you were this funny! I thought you were Mr. Agreste's robot or something!"

"Well....that's what I'm going for."

We both smiled

Natalie checked her clock: "Oh no! I need to get Mr. Agreste's papers done. He still needs someone who can copy his signature to sign all those useless papers!"

"Woah! You can copy his signature?!"

"I can copy everyone's signature hun. Now I have to go, those papers won't sign themselves."

"Heh....right."

"Goodbye Marinette" she said before interrupting herself: "Oh! And by the way, you've been the best maid by far." She smiled and closed the door.

I lay down on my bed and smiled.

||"I guess Agreste isn't as bad as I thought he was."||

--------MONDAY @ SCHOOL-------

We were walking through the hallways when Agreste suddenly moaned: "I'm huuuuunggrrrryyyy!!"

Suddenly next to us was a vending machine

"Oh yeah! And it even has a snicker bar for $1!" He excitedly yelled

He checked inside his pocket but saw that he finished all his lunch money

"Ugh! I knew I should've brought all my money to school today!" He whined

I rolled my eyes: "Move aside, Agreste!"

I took a one dollar bill out of my pocket and put it in the vending machine and I picked the snicker bar.

"Here ya go!" I handed him the snickers bar

"Oh man! Thanks!" He ate like a 7 year old boy

There was chocolate smudge all over his face so I wiped it with the tissue I had in my backpack

We stared into each other's eyes for a second before I snapped and looked away. I threw the chocolate-covered tissue in a trash can nearby.

"Hey uh---" he asked, clearly forgetting or even not knowing my name

"Marinette."

"Yeah! Marinette. Why are you being so nice to me today?" He said genuinely confused.

"Why? I am your maid aren't I?"

"Y-yeah....." he said looking down

*bell rings*

We looked at each other and both ran to class
