*Appointment with my mistakes*

Today is a busy day,
Through the crowd, i make my way,
With the day's plan in my hand,
As my mistakes welcome me with a garland.

I address each one's personal call,
Since I'm too familiar with them all.
Having met most of them more than once,
They crown me as their permanent dunce.

I first meet with trust,
And then shake hands with lust.
Both of them my biggest undoing,
But i won't let them be my ruin.

I ask trust to sign a contract,
And keep it forever intact,
Never to return back to me,
And mistrust, my mistress-to-be.

With love i took lunch,
Who broke down with a painful crunch,
As my lawyer heartbreak showed the bills,
Of my zero wins and infinite kills.

The high tea was spent with innocence,
Who kept creating nuisance.
Couldn't help but attract a many,
Who used it with skills uncanny.

Altruism joined me at dinner,
And told me i have become meaner.
I took away everything from it,
Making the title 'door-mat' fit.

Each one of them and many more,
Were a part of my deep core.
But i lost myself within their constant shadow,
As the world brought me to my knees to bow.

And now as i empty the glass on the bar table,
I seem to feel more capable,
To take over the world that crushes and takes,
As I charge in the war sans my mistakes.
