Ch 3 - No One Calls Me Annalise
"This place is beyond amazing. How did you even find it?" CJ asked.
"I came here once with Raymond for a business trip. I loved everything about it then, and by the looks of things, they've only made it that much better," Astrid replied as she scanned her surroundings.
"Mrs Watson! I didn't expect to see you here. Glenda didn't call about any reservations," Ursula, the resort manager said as she walked up to the friends.
"Hi Ursula. I'm actually here on an impromptu trip with my best friends, so Glenda didn't have to make any bookings. I hope that's not a problem," Astrid responded.
"Never! You know I personally love having you here," Ursula replied.
Astrid turned to her friends. "Guys, this is one of my only other friends besides you guys. Her name is Ursula and she runs this resort amongst others. Ursula, these are my best friends CJ, Cree and Joe."
"It's lovely to meet someone Miss Thang here considers a friend. We were beginning to worry," Joe joked.
"Trust me, it took us a while to be friends too. She thought I only befriended her because she was a client. After bumping into her at twelve other resorts and hotels, she accepted my friendship, except she's terrible at checking up on people," Ursula teased.
"I'm sorry Ursula, but you know how Raymond is. As it is, I'm only able to stay friends with these three because I see them at the salon where I do my hair and nails. CJ owns the salon, Cree helps out and Joe sells food just outside," Astrid explained.
"It's fine Astrid. I'm only teasing you. I know what Raymond is like alright. You seem to forget that he's my cousin," Ursula reminded.
"It's hard to remember such things given how isolated we are from everyone else," Astrid admitted.
"Like I said, it's fine. Do you want me to arrange your stay package?" Ursula asked.
"Please and thank you. Put us down for everything. Whether we get around to doing it or not doesn't matter. We're each staying in our own presidential suites, and please arrange for some clothes to be brought to us," Astrid listed.
Ursula was amused because she knew what was going on. "You finally snapped huh?"
"Did you see him with Vienna?" Astrid countered.
Ursula shrugged. "I don't care about what made you snap. I just care that you finally did."
"I have intentions of snapping alright. Raymond won't know what hit him when I'm done with him!" Astrid exclaimed.
"Do you want me to hold off on the bill?" Ursula asked.
Astrid nodded. "Is it possible to process all transactions once we're back home? I don't want him to get any alerts and ruin our vacation."
"That's not a problem. I'll deal with this myself. You just leave everything up to me," Ursula said with a smile before going to check them in.
"Miss Thang, you know we love you, but are you sure about this? Raymond isn't exactly someone you want to be poking like this," Joe pointed out.
"I'm already in hell Joe. There's nothing that man can do to me to make me feel like less of a human being than I already do. I'm done trying to tiptoe around him when I'm a big part of the reason he's so successful today. I'm only claiming my cut of this damn marriage," Astrid defended.
"That's all good and well, except claiming your cut should mean you're leaving. You're claiming your cut all while staying with that mad man," CJ argued.
"Look guys, just leave me to deal with my husband. Now, are we having a good time or what?" Astrid asked.
The friends weren't fully on board, but they were going to support her regardless. Ursula returned with their room keys, as well as their all access cards. She explained that she needed their sizes so that she could send someone out to buy their clothes. In the meantime, they could shop at the store at the resort.
They headed up to check out their rooms, and CJ, Cree and Joe couldn't believe their luck. None of them could ever afford to stay here for the fun of it, let alone in a presidential suite, so while they were worried about Astrid, they wouldn't deny that they were grateful for the experience.
"So, we can rest for a while and then the fun shall begin. We have multiple things that we can do, and we're definitely going clubbing tomorrow night. I heard that the club here is insane and I mean, there's only one way to find out right?" Astrid said excitedly. They were all in Cree's room.
"Hun, this room is insane. I've always wondered about how the rich live, and now that I know, I definitely want to be rich," Cree joked, making them laugh.
"I'm definitely in agreement with that. I mean, have you seen the bedding? Is it Egyptian cotton?" CJ asked Astrid.
She nodded. "They only have the best for their rich clients."
"So what I'm hearing is that there's a chance I could land myself a rich hubby?" Cree asked, once again making the friends laugh.
"This is a weekend of possibilities guys, and I know that you're worried about me, but I'll deal with everything later. Right now, I just want to spoil you guys and show you how appreciative I am of your friendship," Astrid told them.
"Girl, we already know. Imagine how insane you'd be now without us," CJ joked.
"I don't even want to think about it," Astrid admitted.
"Then we're definitely not going down that path. How about we grab something to eat?" Joe suggested.
"That's a great idea. The steak here is beyond amazing, and the kitchen stays open late," Astrid replied.
"Then we go to eat," Joe declared.
They left the room and headed down to the restaurant. Despite how late it was, there were still people awake. They got a table and placed their orders with their designated waiter, who Cree couldn't stop staring at.
"I'm just saying. He's a good looking man, and we are on vacation right?" she pointed out.
"Why does that sound like you're telling us that you're going to sleep with him?" Joe asked.
She smirked. "If I disappear..."
"Eeeuw," CJ and Astrid said before they all laughed.
"Hey Joe, how is it going with the store arrangements?" Astrid asked him.
"Store?" CJ and Cree asked, while he glared at a smirking Astrid.
"It's going fine," Joe mumbled.
"What is the crazy white girl talking about?" CJ asked him.
He sighed. "She wasn't even supposed to bring it up, but apparently we're dining with Satan. I'm looking into opening up a restaurant rather than having a food cart."
Cree beamed. "Really? Joe that's great!"
"Are you sure? Can you afford it?" CJ asked him, sounding worried.
Joe and Astrid shared a look before he nodded at CJ. "I've saved up for years, and my mom left me some money when she passed."
"I'm happy for you then," CJ said, smiling as she reached out to squeeze his hand.
"This is something we definitely have to celebrate," Cree declared.
"We'll celebrate later. Right now we're just having a peaceful dinner," Astrid commented.
"Fair enough."
They had their late dinner, laughing and having a good time together. Astrid couldn't remember the last time she was so carefree. In the past, Raymond would've been at the back of her mind, but this time he wasn't even worth a thought.
"Astrid," Ursula called when they were returning to their rooms.
"You guys go ahead. I'll see you later today," Astrid told her friends before heading over to Ursula.
"What's up?" she asked.
Ursula pursed her lips before speaking. "My aunt is here."
Astrid tensed. "When did she get here?"
"A little after you guys headed up. I didn't want you to be blindsided," Ursula replied.
Astrid didn't want to see this as a speed bump to her trip, but she wouldn't dismiss the idea either. Her mother in law isn't her biggest fan and the feeling was definitely mutual. She hadn't seen the woman in three years, and the last time she did, they exchanged some rather unpleasant words.
"Has she already gone up to her room?" Astrid asked.
"Yeah. From what I saw, she's already pre-ordered breakfast for later on, and she's booked a spa appointment at ten," Ursula informed.
"So the spa is definitely out of the question today. We'll probably do everything else and then get to the spa tomorrow. It will be nice to relax since we plan on heading clubbing tonight," Astrid said in thought.
"Want me to book VIP?" Ursula offered.
Astrid smiled. "Please and thank you!"
"Alright, I will. Enjoy your stay here ok? You know where to find me if you need me, and don't leave without saying goodbye. I'll try and keep you updated on my aunt's movements if I can," Ursula said.
Astrid hugged her. "Thanks a lot Ursula."
She headed up to her room and got ready to sleep, except she couldn't fall asleep. At first she was sure that Raymond was haunting her, until she realized that every time she closed her eyes, she could only see the cerulean eyes of the man who had pleasured her to new heights.
She shot up, drenched, before shielding her eyes from the sunlight that landed on her face. She was flushed and turned on beyond belief. Her heart was pulsating, and she realized that she'd woken up from a sex dream.
"What has that man done to me?" she murmured to herself.
She reached over to her phone and found that it was seven in the morning. She knew that she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, and given what had woken her up to begin with, she wasn't all too saddened about that.
She got ready for the day and her clothing arrived just as she'd left the bathroom. She got dressed and did her hair and make-up before heading to CJ's room. The two of them then went to collect Cree, and lastly Joe.
"Miss Thang, are we all wearing designer clothing right now?" Joe asked as they headed down to the restaurant.
"Yes we are. I knew Ursula would arrange only the best for us," she replied.
"I would really like to be the fly on the wall when Raymond receives the bill for this weekend," Cree commented.
"That makes two of us, except the bigger part of me doesn't care how he reacts, so maybe not. Anyway, what would you guys like to do?" she asked them.
They decided to brainstorm while they were having breakfast. She informed them of all the things offered at the resort, and they learnt that there was more to it than meets the eyes since there was a whole lot more to do than they thought possible.
They spent the day doing everything that they could think of doing, which mostly involved water and sports. They had lunch at one of the other restaurants around, racking up an impressively high bill for four people.
Astrid was well aware of the people taking photos of her and her friends, but she'd promised herself that she wouldn't look at anything social media related. She wasn't intending on checking her phone at all during her stay.
"So, the club opens at eight, and the real fun begins at eleven, so I suggest we get dinner, and then maybe hit up the casino before we head out to the club," Astrid told them.
"Sounds good to me," Joe replied.
"This is honestly the best time I've ever had. Thank you Astrid," CJ told her.
Astrid smiled. "We all needed this break, so you are most welcome."
They all went to their individual rooms to get ready for their night out. She had a bounce in her step, and she wasn't sure why, but for the first time in a while, she was truly happy, even if she knew that the happiness was short-lived.
She stared at herself in the mirror. She was dressed in a short black dress, and she spotted something that she hadn't earlier. She has a small bruise on her inner thigh, and she got all hot and bothered when she remembered how the bruise got there to begin with.
She was starting to realize that she had a bit of a problem. She couldn't get the man she'd slept with out of her head. She wanted to deny that it was because of the way he'd touched her, but reality was that it was exactly because of that.
She'd been with multiple men before Raymond, so she knew what sex was like with other men, but none of them had ever touched her the way in which that man had. None of them had ever paid attention to her body in the way that he had.
None of them had ever made her orgasm, let alone multiple times, like he had.
She shook her head free of the steamy scenes in her head and went to have a glass of water. When she was ready, she headed out and met her friends in the hallway before the three of them followed her down and straight to the club.
Ursula had already left a message for her at reception with regards to their club excursion, so Astrid knew exactly where to take them. They were once more fascinated by the lavishness of everything around them. A waitress came to take their orders for drinks.
"I don't think I want to go back to my life anymore," Cree joked, making them laugh.
"I get what you mean girl. This has been beyond insane, and it just blows my mind to think that this is normal life for rich folk," CJ commented.
"It's got its ups and downs. I can tell you that much," Astrid countered.
Their drinks arrived before Joe raised his glass. "Well, I say we toast to the ups and forget the hell out of the downs."
"Cheers!" the ladies agreed before their glasses met.
The four of them let loose, even though Joe was secretly watching over them. He didn't drink as much as they did, simply because he knew that his best friends are beautiful women. He could see the attention on them, and he didn't want anyone starting any trouble for them.
Luckily for him, none of that happened and instead they had a great time. They left the club in the early hours of the morning. The three of them had their heels in their hands while they sang loudly. Joe was trying to keep them walking in a straight line, and Ursula was amused as she watched them walking towards her.
"Oh my gosh! It's Ursula!" Astrid squealed before going to hug her.
Ursula laughed, turning to a slightly sober Joe. "Rough night?"
"The greatest," he said with an amused smile.
"We had such a great time Ursh. Thank you so much!" Astrid thanked her, tears in her eyes.
"Alright. It's time to get you guys to bed. We'll pick this up later," Joe announced.
"I'll help you," Ursula told him.
The two of them managed to get the three women safely into their rooms after quite some trouble from Cree and Astrid. CJ had passed out the moment her head hit the pillow, something Joe found extremely adorable.
"You're really sweet for looking out for them like that," Ursula commented as they stood outside his room.
"They're my girls. I can't let them down in any way," he replied.
She smiled. "They're lucky to have you. Your loyalty is an attractive thing."
Joe watched her walk away, confused by what had just occurred. He wasn't sure whether it was the alcohol, but he was pretty sure that she'd just flirted with him. He shook the incident off and instead settled for calling it a night.
He was up in the middle of the morning and he decided to arrange food for the girls, knowing very well that he needed to arrange hangover concoctions too. He showered and got dressed before heading down to look for Ursula. He found her talking to two men.
"I can't divulge that information to you Sir. What I can do is get you a room," she told one of the guys.
"We can't afford to get a room. We're not even supposed to be here," Scott told Thor.
"I just need to see her ok? Then we can leave," Thor replied.
Scott sighed before turning to Ursula. "We'll get two rooms for the night and check out tomorrow morning."
"Alright Sir. Reese will handle your booking. Please excuse me," she said before turning to Joe.
"Good morning Ursula," he greeted.
"Good morning Joe. What can I do for you?" she asked.
"I was wondering if you could arrange some hangover concoctions for the girls. I know how Cree and CJ can get when they're hung-over. The person who I've never seen hung-over is Astrid, though something tells me I wouldn't want to in any case," Joe told her.
Thor's attention was brought to the conversation happening beside him. "Sure, I can do that for you. Astrid is really mean when she's hung-over by the way."
"Really? That doesn't sound like her," Joe commented.
"I think it has a lot to do with the stuff she suppresses. When she's drunk, she's happy and chatty, and then when she's hung-over, she's mean and bitchy. It's just how it is with her," Ursula informed.
Definitely my Astrid, Thor thought to himself.
"Huh! I would've never known!" Joe said.
"Anyway, would you like anything specifically?" she asked him.
"Nah, I'm good! What does Miss Thang have on schedule for us today anyway?" he asked.
She looked over to her iPad. "She's got you all down for an afternoon at the spa at twelve, and then it seems like she just wanted you to relax for the rest of your stay here."
"I'm glad that's the case. It's been a wild time, but I wouldn't want to go back home tired," he joked.
"You don't have to worry about that! Let me go and get you those hangover cures. Are you heading to the restaurant?" she asked.
He nodded. "I'm going to order breakfast and then go and wake them up. Hopefully I'll be able to get them in one room without too much of a hassle."
Ursula went off to arrange the hangover concoctions, while Joe headed over to the restaurant to order breakfast. He was made aware that it would be ready in twenty minutes, giving him more than enough time to head up and rally the girls.
"She's definitely here," Thor told Scott.
"How do you know?" Scott asked, receiving his card back from Reese.
"The guy who was here was speaking about her. She's apparently hung-over right now, but she'll be heading to the spa later," Thor replied.
Scott raised an eyebrow. "And you're so sure that it's her?"
"Astrid isn't a common name, and it was reported that she's out with three people. That guy, Joe, only mentioned two other people, CJ and Cree. I'm pretty sure it's her," Thor said confidently.
Scott sighed. "Since it's pretty much clear that nothing I say to you is going to change your mind, I'm not going to bother. Instead, I will warn you to be careful."
"I've got this. I promise," Thor replied.
Astrid felt herself being carried before she was placed on something cool and cushy. Her eyes slowly opened and she watched as her girlfriends came to as well, before their eyes landed on a sober Joe. He shot them an amused look as they tried to gather their wits.
"Where are we?" Cree asked.
"You're all in Miss Thang's suite. I've arranged breakfast, as well as hangover cures for you. Everything should be here any minute," he said just as there was a knock at the door.
He headed over and let the lady in as she pushed a trolley in. She proceeded to give the ladies their hangover cures as instructed by Ursula. They were gagging most of the time as they tried to keep the concoction down.
"That was horrible!" CJ said, shaking off the disgust.
"Well the three of you certainly enjoyed yourselves," Joe teased.
"You're not even hung-over. How come?" Astrid asked him.
"I didn't drink as much because I was watching over you," he informed.
"Aaaaw," they cooed, making him blush.
"Eat up! We have a spa appointment in two hours," he said.
They ate in silence, but only because they were still slightly hung-over and didn't want to interrupt the peace. When they were done, Joe said he'd handle everything, and that they just had to go and get ready for the day.
They were sober and refreshed by the time they met up in the hallway to head out to the spa. Something caught Astrid's attention in the lobby, but when she looked again to confirm, there was nothing.
"Are you ok?" Cree asked her.
"I'm fine! I just thought I saw someone," Astrid replied.
They arrived at the spa and met with the team of masseuses allocated to them. They were given all the options that they had, and they each picked the different things they wanted to do, which meant that they went separate ways for their treatments.
Astrid was alone in the sauna as she soaked in the steam. She let her thoughts run wild, straying once more to the man that had rocked her world. She could feel his fingers running along her naked arms; stroking her, arousing her.
Thor had spent some time thinking about how he was going to approach her. He waited in his room until it was twelve, before heading down to the spa. He managed to book himself in and stay hidden from her.
Until he saw her go into the sauna.
He was sure that she was the only person in there. He went in with the intent of talking to her privately, but all coherent thoughts flew out the window when his eyes landed on her sweaty body. She was visibly turned on, and he wanted nothing more than to touch her again.
To feel her again.
His hands were merely caressing her, and she felt as though it were too good to be true. When she felt the pair of lips against her throat, she jumped before she moaned at the assault on her sweet spot. A part of her was aware that she should've been more alarmed, but there was a familiarity in what was happening as she was laid onto her back.
"I can't stop thinking about you," Thor whispered in her ear.
"Is it really you? Am I dreaming?" she asked.
She gasped when she felt his fingers between her legs. "Does that answer your question?"
"How?" she moaned.
"I knew you would go off and be reckless, and I knew I couldn't let you be too reckless. You are after all married to a mad man," he replied as he kissed down her throat.
"A reckless man who would kill you if he knew what you were doing to me," she pointed out dazedly.
She jumped as he pinched her inner thigh. "Something tells me you're not particularly worried about that, especially right now."
She couldn't argue with that.
Her back arched as she felt the towel fall away from her chest. "How did you find me?"
"You're all over social media. I'm surprised Raymond hasn't come to haul you back home," he replied, paying careful attention to her bosom area.
She couldn't think straight anymore. He was working her in a way she knew only he could. The more she moaned, the clearer it became to Thor- he had a new weakness, and it was this gorgeous woman whom he wanted to give the world to.
"Oh my God!" she squealed, shaking as he continued his assault.
"You're a stunning woman Annalise. Do you know that?" he asked huskily in her ear, remembering her second name.
"No one calls me Annalise," she barely managed to say.
"Good," he said before easing himself into her.
She was lost to the world, engulfed only by this man and what he was doing to her. She'd lost count of how many times she'd touched the heavens and returned. No man had ever made her feel this way, and she didn't know how to let him know that much.
It wasn't until she found herself straddling him that tears came to her eyes. She looked into his blue eyes and all she could see was pure adoration. She leaned down and kissed him, immersing herself further into him, into his world.
Thor held her, kissing her back as she rode out her rapture. He was well aware of the tears in between their cheeks that were flowing from her eyes, being able to tell them apart from the steam and their sweat. She gasped a little in their kiss, and he knew she was going over the edge once more.
He'd lost count of how many times he'd done so himself.
She panted, her head on his shoulder. "How come no one's come in here?"
"I locked the door when I came in," he replied, barely breathing himself.
"I have to go," she said, making no move to leave.
"Then go," he said, looking straight into her eyes.
She looked down at him and she knew what she felt in her heart. "I can't."
She leaned down and kissed him again, allowing him to take her to ecstasy one more time.
