Ill make it up to you
Aw I hope you guys like this book.
"Wait they did what?" Noah asked over the phone. Caleb and Gaten were over; Finn didn't want to come. They were on the phone with Lilia and Sadie. It's been a couple of days since they all hung out.
"I know. I can't believe they still aren't talking," Sadie said over the phone. The two girls were just doing work for the most part, but thought they should tell the guys even if Millie said not to. They can't just be left in the dark like that.
"Why do you think he hasn't told us?" Gaten asked, looking to the guys.
"He's probably embarrassed. I wouldn't want to tell anyone either. But he's still not even leaving his dorm except for school." Caleb replied back, the girls also listening over the phone.
"We need to fix this, this is bad." Noah said, and the girls agreed.
Meanwhile, Millie was in class trying to understand what her teacher was talking about. She was okay in every other class, but this one is hard. She couldn't ask for help either.
Finn would help her. He's in the same class. But she doesn't think it's a good idea.
Just ask him, Millie.
They were dismissed from class, and Millie saw Finn already walking out. She jogged to catch up to him.
"Finn?" She asked, which made Finn turn around and face her. His eyes locked with hers for a second before he eyed her.
"What's up?" He asked, but interested.
"Would you be able to help me? With this work? I don't understand it and I really don't want to fail the exam next week." Millie asked, looking down.
Finn considered this, trying to get a hold of his thoughts. Finn was over Millie. So he thought he was.
What's the harm?
You know the harm you idiot.
"Um, sure." He replied, not knowing what else to do.
"Great! I was thinking we-
"Tonight. I'll help you tonight. Bring your stuff over and we can study." Finn replied, cutting Millie off. She furrowed her eyebrows and nodded.
"Okay. See you then." Millie replied back, then walking away to her next class.
Why would he say that all of a sudden after not talking to me for almost two weeks?
Millie started walking toward her next class when she immediately bumped into someone. She looked up at the familiar face, and her stomach twisted; in a bad way.
"Millie, haven't seen you around lately. What's up?" Jacob asked her, looking down to meet her gaze.
"Leave me alone please if you're just going to start problems." She said, moving away from him to continue walking, but then felt a hand on her wrist pulling her back.
"What do you want?" Millie asked, as he eyed her.
"Let's hang out soon." He said, and she just rolled her eyes.
"Leave me alone." Millie said again, pulling her hand out of his grasp and walking to her class.
—
Millie brought her fist up to knock on the door, but stopped. She thought of what was happening.
There's just no way he's fine now. He's been ignoring me, what changed so quickly? Maybe it was just today, maybe I'm overthinking it.
She felt her stomach twist, confused why she got butterflies. Probably of nerves.
She lightly knocked on the door, and a few seconds later it opened to Jack.
"Hey Mill." Jack said, keeping the door a little closed.
"Hey." She said back, confused why he isn't opening the door. He looked at her like he expected her to say something.
"Are you here for something?" He asked, eyeing her. She was just wearing some sweatpants and a hoodie. It was cold outside.
"Yeah, Finn and I are studying." Millie said, confused as to why Jack didn't know.
"Oh. Okay, come in." He said, opening the door for Millie to come in. As she stepped in and Jack closed the door, she heard a door open down the hall to see Finn just got out of the shower. His curls were wet and he was wearing joggers and a tshirt.
Millie, stop staring.
"Um, I'm here to study." She said, and he nodded. Jack went and sat back down on his bed and went on his phone, and Finn led Millie to his bed to sit down. She grabbed her notes and problems, and got everything situated. She feels tense though.
She looked up to see Finn already looking at her. He looks really attractive right now.
Millie stop!!
"Where do you wanna start?" He asked, looking away from her and to her papers.
"Um, probably this one." She replied back, showing him the problem. She watched him as he bent down to read the problem, reading it to himself.
Why is he so attractive right now?
Millie brushed off the thought, and was soon met with a pair of eyes looking back at her. His eyes were dark brown, and probably the whitest she's ever seen the rest of his eyes. He's always high. I guess not tonight.
"Did you hear what I said?" He asked, and Millie sighed and shook her head no.
"No, sorry. I can't concentrate." She said admit-tingly, putting her back against the wall. Finn watched her every move.
"Wanna get high?" He asked her, which made her widen her eyes and furrow her eyebrows, turning to look at him.
"Are you insane?" She said, and he shook his head.
"It helps me focus. It might help you." He replied back, Millie just realizing how close she is to him.
"No. I will never smoke. Ever." She said, and looked back down to the papers in front of her.
—
"I told you." Finn said, as they were both laying on their backs on the floor. Millie saw stars on his roof, everything moving very weirdly.
"I don't know if I like it," she said, looking around the ceiling. She felt his stare on hers, so she turned her head to meet his gaze too. Finn started laughing really hard, making Millie laugh as well.
"Your eyes are so red," Finn said, laughing. Millie laughed as well, her stomach starting to hurt from laughing.
"Hey guys I'm gonna sleep over at maddies." Jack said, grabbing a bag and saying bye before walking out the door.
"I guess it's just us then." Finn said, on his stomach now looking at Millie. Millie looked back, and saw a look in his eyes.
She smiled and leaned over to him, her lips inches from his.
"I guess so," she said, smiling. Finns heart rate picked up, looking at her lips so close to his, then up to her eyes which were looking at his as well.
"Jesus Finn." She said, still giggling. Finn was used to the high, he felt normal. This is Millies first time ever, so he doesn't blame her for acting silly.
"Shut it Millie," Finn said, rolling his eyes and about to sit up, but he felt Millies hand on his chest push him down again. He sighed and looked up to her.
"Millie-
"No. I'm making it up to you, for last time." She said, Finn feeling her slowly crawl onto his torso as the two were still on the floor. She was about to press her lips onto his, but he held her face an inch away, looking up at her.
"Fake?"
"Yes. For fun. You need to loosen up." She said, and he agreed.
He's over her anyway, he can do fake.
"Okay, fake." He said, and Millie looked at all of the features on his face. His freckles, his curls on his forehead, his nose and eyes, literally everything about him to Millie was perfect. But he didn't need to know that.
Finn felt her lips brush his, then slowly make their way to the side of his face instead, already driving Finn crazy. He felt kissed on the side of his face, trailing down to his jawline. He groaned, and moved his hands to around her waist, pushing her down against his lap more.
Finn hasn't had sex in a long time. For a long time, he means a couple of months. He had taken a break from his regular hookups. He knows it's because of Millie, but he won't admit it.
Millie hasn't had sex since Jacob. To her, Finn looks like he knows what he's doing.
She lowered herself so she was sitting directly on his lap, and she lifted him up so they were sitting, her still placing kisses along his neck. Finn heard her giggle quietly, making him smile a little bit. He moved her head back over to his, and looked at her. She was smiling, her eyes red.
"What's so funny?" He asked, and she shrugged.
"You." She said, and unexpectedly (for Finn at least) placed her lips against his roughly. Finn let that last a couple seconds, but broke out of the kiss, looking back up to Millie.
"We don't have to if you don't want to. If you're not ready yet." Finn said, remembering what happened with her and Jacob.
"Hmm, what a gentleman. I'm assuming you're a gentle-man, so I'm ready." She said, immediately laughing, Finn rolling his eyes but slightly smiling.
"I'm serious Millie." He said, watching her eyes not being able to focus on one thing at a time. He felt her on him, every inch of her pressed against his lap. It was driving him crazy.
"I am too Finn. I know what sex is." Millie said back, and Finn rolled his eyes.
"Mill, I'm not having sex with you." He said, and Millie groaned. He eyed her on top of him, taking in every detail of her.
"Why? Come onnnnnnn," Millie said, and Finn raised his eyebrows. He slid his hand around her waist and pulled her closer if that was possible, feeling her flinch on top of him.
"I think you know why." Finn said back, moving his hands to hold himself up, hands on the floor behind him.
"I don't mean to do that." Millie said, her mood immediately shifting. Finn noticed, and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Hey, it's okay. I was just joking." Finn said, as he saw Millies face look down to him. There were tears threatening to spill out of her eyes.
She immediately started sobbing catching Finn off guard, and he just wrapped his arms around her and brought her into a hug. He could feel her sobbing, shaking both of their bodies.
"Mills it's okay, calm down okay?" Finn spoke softly, confused by everything that was happening.
Finn got over his crush on Millie. He took the two weeks to just get over it. It's college. Tonight he was honestly just trying to repair their friendship again.
Repair a friendship by making out? Yeah right.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I made you upset I didn't mean to," Millie said, trying to hold back sobs.
"It's okay. It was stupid." Finn whispered back into her ear, rubbing her back. He noticed how small she was when she sat like this.
"I shouldn't have done it in the first place, I'm so stupid. He ruined me." She whispered back, a few seconds of hesitation later. Her sobs stopped, and she was sniffling. Her head was in the crook of Finns neck, tears all over his neck now.
Finn thought about what happened between her and Jacob. He has no idea actually what happened, but he assumed the worst.
He gently grabbed the side of her face with one of his hands and brought it up to face his.
"Hey, idea. How about we have a movie night or something? No homework, no stress. We can watch some cool movies and I'll make popcorn." Finn said, trying to get her in a better mood.
The things I would do for this girl.
Finn, stop it. Shake it off.
She smiled and nodded.
"I want popcorn," she replied back, making the two laugh.
Soon enough, they were under Finns blankets watching a movie on his laptop. The laptop was set between them, along with the bowl of popcorn. Millie enjoyed spending time with him, she is just glad they are friends again. Same with Finn.
