Break room
Sooo not so many comments on this story. How are you guys liking it?
It's spring, almost a month since Millie and Finn had "split up" at the party.
Everything is fine, but it's a little weird to their friends. But they shake it off and just hang out like they always do.
Finn has been going to work, class, all of it. Why bother over a girl who just lead you on to get nowhere?
He's been getting high almost every day, like he usually did with his friends. He hasn't really spoken to many girls though. Which made Jack surprised.
He doesn't see a point; he still likes Millie. He cared for her, a lot. He can't just get over her like that, even if he hates her for doing that to him with little to no explanation.
He heard a huge crack of lightning, which caused him to look out the window of the library. It's been raining for the past week here, and apparently it's only going to get worse. There was a tornado watch for tomorrow, but it will probably fly by like it usually does.
"I don't know man, this shit sucks." Gaten said, staring at his computer. The four boys were in the library together, actually getting some work done before mid term exams.
"Maybe because you haven't been to class and don't know how to actually do it," Caleb said, making Gaten shrug his shoulders.
"Do you guys wanna come over and smoke tonight?" Noah asked, getting a nod from the guys. His phone got a vibration from a text, but he didn't answer. It vibrated again, and again, and again, and again-
"Who is that?" Finn asked, looking over to grab Noah's phone which was set in between Noah and Finn. He almost grabbed it, but Noah quickly took it and hid it from Finn. Finn did get a glance before he took it away, seeing that it was Millie who had texted him so many times.
Why would Millie text him that much?
Not my concern.
He furrowed his eyebrows, looking at Noah. He shrugged, putting it on do not disturb after quickly texting back.
Noah was arguing with Millie, because she kept trying to trade shifts with him tomorrow. She didn't want to work with Finn.
She's been avoiding Finn as much as she could, even though it's not much. Whenever she is around him, butterflies swarm her stomach. She can't help staring at him. His freckles, his eyes, and his lips that have been engraved onto her own skin.
And it's like it never happened. Because he just had to make out with Iris.
She picked up her phone again, seeing the text from Noah.
No Millie, deal with it please. I don't want to work a night shift then go back again at 6am.
She sighed, throwing her phone on the floor, as lightning lit up the room.
"Damn it's really bad out," Maddie said, standing up to look out the window.
"Let's hope it dies down soon." Millie said, laying down onto her bed.
—
It did not pass soon.
The next day was just as worse, probably even worse. Millie was on her way to work, her umbrella not really blocking any of the rain.
"Ugh, who the fuck would be coming here in this type of weather," she mumbled, jogging to the front door and closing her umbrella. She walked to the back and put her jacket and umbrella in the break room, then clocked in. She saw the names of who else was working the same shift, and she internally groaned.
Finn Wolfhard
Caleb McLaughlin
Sadie Sink
Of course it was just the four of them. And Nick, obviously.
"Millie, grab a headset and go on money," he said, making millie turn to him and nod. She started walking towards money, and she turned to see Finn clocking in. Her eyes widened, trying to quickly walk away from him.
He noticed, based on the way he stared her down the entire time.

A few hours later, the rain had gotten so bad the roads were starting to flood. There were no customers so the four of them just sat in the break room talking.
"Why are we not closing? There's no point in staying here if nobody has showed up in over half an hour," Sadie said, looking at her phone.
Nick then walked into the break room, looking at the four.
"Hey I gotta get home before my car gets stuck here, can you guys hold down the fort? You'll get paid extra," he said, and they all nodded. He did a thumbs up and gave a quick goodbye, which left the four of them.
"Well to be honest there aren't four people needed here, I think 3 would be just fine. I have a midterm to study for so is it fine if I leave?" Sadie asked. Millie raised her eyebrows, giving her a look like I know you're not leaving me alone with these two.
Sadie smiled, and shrugged her shoulders. The guys let her go, and she soon after left.
"Okay, let's just close stuff up so we can leave earlier." Millie said, avoiding Finn's eye contact. She got up and walked out, the boys following her.
She went to the front, and was double checking if everything was stocked. She ended up going back and forth from the stock room, and eventually stocked everything up.
Another hour had passed with no customers.
She sighed, and put her hands on her hips. It was unnaturally quiet, and she felt like something was wrong.
She immediately jumped and shrieked when there was a huge boom of thunder, shutting off the power inside the store. There was no light, and she groaned. Thankfully it was still a little light outside, so there was some daylight coming in.
She looked around and didn't see either of the guys, making her confused. She walked towards the back more, using her phone flashlight due to the windows not reaching there anymore.
"Caleb?" She asked, walking around another corner.
"He left," she heard Finn say, which made her jump and turn to the direction he came from. She noticed he was trying to fix the power with the backup generator, but that was also not working.
"Oh. Well what do we do? The powers out." Millie asked, making Finn look up to her and pointing his flashlight towards her. He eyed her up and down, and shut the compartment with the electricity controls.
"I don't know, just wait till it turns back on I guess," he said, walking back to the front where it was lighter.
Millie nervously followed, staring at him. She's scared to be with him alone, they haven't had an actual conversation in almost a month.
She sighed and leaned against a counter, Finn leaning against a wall a little away from her. He looked at her, Millie meeting his glance for a split second before looking away.
"Why can't you even look at me?" Finn asked, surprising Millie. She hadn't expected him to talk to her.
"I do," she said, and Finn raised his eyebrows.
"You can't even have a conversation with me. You shouldn't be the one that's upset here." Finn said, with a tone like he was ready to start an argument.
"I deserve to be upset, you can't tell me what I can and can't feel," Millie said, raising her voice. Finn rolled his eyes.
"Well Millie, we are obviously going to be around each other for the meantime so you need to get it together and act like a normal person." Finn said, which made Millie furrow her eyebrows.
"Please, take your own advice." Millie said, Finn laughing.
"Are you fucking kidding me? I was the one who saw you and whoever the fuck that guy was making out at that party. You know what I'm doing? I'm getting the fuck over it because obviously you didn't want shit with me. So yes, get the fuck over yourself." Finn said with a raised voice, slowly walking towards her, as she backed up all the way to the counter in front of her. She doesn't like when people raise their voice at her, but she's also just as mad as she is nervous.
"We weren't even together anyway, right? Why the fuck does it matter to you? Like you can, I can do what I want. You don't own me!" Millie yelled, lightly pushing his chest away from her.
"Then don't do this shit Millie! I've seen you do this shit twice now. You lead Wyatt on, and you found it so fucking fun that you decided you'd to it to me too, right? It was just so fun, right?" Finn yelled again, moving towards her, barely a foot away from each other.
She noticed how close he was to her, almost too close.
I want him.
No Millie, you two are screaming at each other.
"Fuck you, Finn. Fuck you." She said, looking him in the eye. The angry pair stared at each other, seconds passing by like minutes.
Before either could think, they roughly connected their lips together, intensifying the kiss as soon as it started.
Millie's hands slid up to his chest and up to his hair, pulling it. She felt his hands make their way to her waist, tightening his grip around her.
She felt him bend down a little, putting his hands underneath her thighs and lifting her up, now sitting on the counter in front of him. She deepened the kiss, moving one of her hands to his jaw and pulling him closer to her and feeling one of his hands go to her back.
His lips on hers felt like fire. Her stomach was going crazy with butterflies, and she tightened her legs around him, keeping him in place. His hand moved down to the hem of her shirt, then slowly slid up her back, now on her bare skin.
They disconnected their lips, Millie catching her breath as Finn immediately connected his lips to her neck harshly. She was trying to catch her breath, but the way his lips molded into her neck left her breathless.
She feels weak when he touches her.
And he knows it.
She felt his hand move underneath her bra, pressing down on her skin. His other hand was on the side of her leg, but is now trailing up her inner thigh. His lips were connected to her neck, aiming for her weak spot. He knew exactly where it was, and she knew he found it.
He kissed the spot and pressed down hard, but Millie wouldn't let him be satisfied, so she kept it in and bit her lip.
He knew what she was doing, and immediately took action as he kissed down again but then lightly bit down her neck, and squeezed her inner thigh. She immediately let out a sound, Finn quickly smirking. Soon after, he felt her hands move up to his hair and pull his hair up, his face meeting hers as she connected their lips once again.
He felt her hands move back down to his waist, gripping the hem of his shirt and desperately moved it up his body. She immediately stopped, dropping his shirt back down.
"We can't do this," She backed out of the kiss, breathing heavy.
"The powers out, the cameras won't see," Finn said before diving back into the kiss. She rolled her eyes, and pushed his chest a bit away so he backed out of the kiss.
"No. I mean we can't do this, it isn't right." Millie said, looking down to his hand, all the way up in between her legs gripping her inner thigh. Her stomach immediately lit up with butterflies.
Dear god Millie, focus.
"You sure?" Finn said, eyeing her and the hand she is currently staring at, raising his eyebrows. He sees her flustered state, taking advantage of the situation.
His hand that was still on the bare skin of her back slowly slid down further, lightly tracing her waist and his pointer and middle finger clinging to the waistband of her jeans, slowly making their way towards the button.
Holy shit, Millie snap out of it.
"I um, I...." She was at a loss for words, nothing coming out of her mouth. She looked away from his hands and back up to him, and noticed he was already staring at her. Her eyes were locked in his now, the two both slightly out of breath and their lips plumper. He was inches away from her face, their lips being able to connect again at any moment.
She didn't say anything else, so he made a move of lightly squeezing her inner thigh again, and undid the button to her jeans with his two fingers, not breaking his gaze on her.
He couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful she was, no matter how mad he was with her. All he wanted was her, no matter what.
She let out a very audible shaky breath, which made Finn's adrenaline shoot through the roof.
She looked to her left to see the window outside, and was about to look back to Finn but his lips attached to her exposed neck.
"Finn," Millie said, Finn immediately letting go and looking at her. He saw a new look in her eyes he hadn't seen, and he raised his eyebrows.
"Break room," she whispered, connecting their lips intensely once again, Finn obliging and picking her up to make their way to the break room.
