There’s a reason the poem of this book is so terrible- I can never do justice to the book. I just couldn’t think of something nice to write, so  I just wrote something to make me smile and posted it. I will never be able to properly describe the impact of this book in my life. It was the first Roald Dahl I’d ever read, and I loved it. My dad actually read the first 3 chapters for me, and out of curiosity, I finished the rest of the book the very next day. The sheer amount of chocolate and candy was, of course, a big factor in me loving it the way I do, but the story is BRILLIANT, the characters are either amazingly good or outrageously good, the ending is superb, and the story just… it makes me happy. Honestly, it is all you need for a good book.
