This may not make much sense but these are my thoughts on why most people don't like/read poetry. Every one of these reasons is untrue, so please read my poems!!!

Poetry is all Shakespeare
Where art thou, my avid readers?
Doest this spark thine interest?
Romeo and Juliet
Lovely but not there yet

Poetry is for kids
Roses are red, violets are blue
Black sheep, have you any friends
Twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder, where my fans are

Poetry is boring
Love is of the heart, beating hard
For the weak-minded, no matter
But poetry is in my heart, so full
Does anyone think this isn't just bull?

Poetry is stupid
The cow jumped over the moon
The billy goat chased after the spoon
My lines are useless and you don't like this
But I don't care 'cus you can just kiss ** ***

Poetry is Romantic
I love you my beauty, my flower
I'll kiss you until the skies fall and shower
Down upon us: the lovers, haters
Of poetry because we want to be skaters
We want to be rappers, gangsters, teachers
Not avid, obsessed, word-loving readers
Who cares? About poems? Books and the like?
Who cares about what I even do with my life?
Because Poetry is all Shakespeare
