Dark thoughts creep in like the night
a heavy weight on my mind.
As I twist and turn..they play their games
meant to leave me in a cruel bind.

I try to shake them off, but no..
they cling to me like it's all I know.
The darkness seeps into my body
and whispers oh so loudly.

What if...they say the worst is true?
What if your fears are real
and everyday they come to haunt you.

My heart pounds hard my breath comes fast..
and I can hardly take it like the pain from my past.

Though it hurts ..my demons I'll confront.
because I know what I want.

They're just here to drag me down.
Lock me up so I can't make a sound.

The light will come the sun will rise
The darkness soon will fade.
It's just a moment, just a test..
and then I'm not afraid.

So let the darkness do its worst
It cannot hold me back
and I'll learn to except this part of me
to chase away the black.

I'm terrified of bugs
especially spiders ....ew
