Sadness grips my heart as I dance alone in the dark.
The music echoes in my mind, no ones here to unwind.

The beat of the song is so strong, my feet feel like they don't belong. I sway and move to the rhythm but the sadness won't leave.. it's a prison.

I twirl around but my heart feels like it's bound
I long for someone to dance with, but my sadness won't let me feel any bliss.

So I dance alone in the silence lost in the rhythm of my own defiance. My tears fall like heavy rain as I try to dance away the pain.
