NOISE OF NATURE
WORDS OF THE LIVING
(NATURE)
Open window
Fallen tree
Wild bluebells, indigo
A small cabin, near the sea
The wind flows through my hair
Taste of salt on my tongue
A squirrel watches me, as soft, thoughtful stare
Then he is spooked, and is sprung
A rabbit approaches the cabin
Sniffs the wild grass
I invite him in
But he chooses, to pass
Robin perches on a nearby tree
His feet on a steady twig
Looks curiously at me
Moves around, a sort of jig
Fish fly in the flood of water
Rinsed and risen in the lake
Approved by a deadly otter
But a quick escape, he does make
This is the noise of nature
Embodied by every creature
