CAMPING CONVERSATIONS

WORDS OF THE LIVING

(ANIMALS)

A pigeon pecks
At strangers bread
Leaves weep
With raindrops fed

The ants alliance
In stirring silence
Controlled, command the conquer
All without a hush or whisper
While the trees gently dance
Cunning foxes, prance

Woodpecker drills
From the leaf, the raindrops spill
More ranks, the ants must fill
While the sky watches on
Campers, new arrivals, those long since gone

Smoke from a nearby barbecue
While still nature does ensue
Observed by birds, flew
Rare sights of speckled deer
While the people relax, with meal and beer

These camping conversations
Between humans and nature
Always whispers
Never shouts
Goes on forever
I have no doubts
