Vote
I cannot vote this November 6th,
A truth,
Simple and sad.
See I don't turn 18 for another 4 months,
Which frankly makes me quite mad.
Not because I don't get to vote,
But because the people that can won't.
And the ones that do?
Yeah see they're problems too
Because they vote with white supremacist pride.
So I beg of you,
I implore,
Listen to me,
If only once more.
Please vote for me,
And others that can't,
Vote in a way that our future doesn't become more of a disaster plant,
Sprouted by those who just don't care
Because they're old and it's about the money that corporations share.
Please vote for the Earth,
The one dead and dying.
Please vote for the children,
Who are gunned down or crying
As they lose those they love once again.
Please vote for the minorities,
Whose rights are consistently taken away by the majority.
Please vote for people,
Not the party chosen by a steeple,
That will protect those in this world,
Giving them a chance to turn their dream into a flag unfurled.
Vote,
I beg you,
It's simply not hard.
It's twenty minutes of life,
That could make all the difference in creating a safeguard,
For those who the world simply ignores,
For those who have the many closed doors.
So vote I say again,
And vote once more,
Because with every vote you show us you care for
Those who cannot,
But who still have a voice,
That you made a choice,
To listen to and hear,
When others will not,
Because we are not worth a single thought.
