The U.S. is a laughing stock.
That's what I've learned talking to my foreign friends.
Our president is a fraud,
Our voting system isn't democratic,
Our learned 'history' full of lies.

Yet something changed two days ago.

When you talk about a shot,
a shotglass,
being heard round the world,
you know it's significant.

One was the beginning of the American Revolutionary,
One was the Stonewall Rebellion.

One created America,
One began to lead the way for the acceptance of the LGBT community in society.

So when I'm saying a picture was heard around the world,
You had better listen.

Two days ago.

Two days ago a Twitter account posted a picture captioned:
"We even got the black kid to throw it up #baraboo proud."

Without seeing the picture you know from the words something is off.

What they were throwing up was the Hitler salute.

This was not a Ku Klux Klan picture.

This was all the boys in a senior class in Ohio at prom.

But if that's not bad enough,
It gets worse.

For example,
One boy is making the symbol of white power.

Then,
The school administration refused to do anything about it.

Then,
This was not the first time something like this has happened.

Then,
When there's harassment of those going on who don't agree,
The school still does nothing.

Then,
The parents are the ones that took the picture.

Then,
They did nothing.

Then,
The girls standing in front also did nothing.

And then and then and then.

This picture has rang out through the world,
Made national news,
International,
Shown just how bad things have gotten.

Shown just how ingrained in our country this.

Shown history to be repeating itself.

And all it took was a picture for the world to hear the echoes.
