I watch the people in Congress and you know why I don't think they'll take action?
It's because it's not their future.

It's mine.

It's my future that I see where I have kids that's on the line.
It's my future where I want to see all the great cities of the world.
It's my future where I do grad school in New York City.
It's my future where I go to school without being scared of me or my friends not coming home that day.
It's my future where I don't have to fear my future child going to public school.
It's my future where that child can be adopted by me in a non-hetero relationship.
It's my future where that child isn't white and yet can live anywhere and go to any school and still have an amazing education.
It's my future where I can watch my friends going to college to get a degree in music education thrive both in careers and financially and never have to stop to worth if they'll be ok.
It's my future where I don't have to be concerned that I will never be able to find low skill jobs to tide me over as a musician because the robots will take over.

It's not their future that's at stake,
It's mine.

So why would they care?
