Change will come but only if we will it to come from the need for it in the depths of our soul.

We must drag that need into the light,
Grasping it with every bit of energy reclaimed after being taken from us by inequality and injustice remaining unsolved.

But that is our energy and we will not back down when you say we can't have it back because not only do we want it back but we demand it back,
Just like Rosa Parks did when she said she wouldn't stand up for the white women on the bus,
Just like Hilary Clinton did when she was called dirty and crooked and instead took her anger and told "all the little girls watching this to never forget you are powerful, wonderful, and deserving."

But what Hilary missed was that it's not just little girls who are "powerful and wonderful and deserving,"
It's the adult women who stuck by each other and repeated each other's names in the company meeting before a man could steal their colleagues's idea.
It's the Black trans woman who proudly lives her truth despite the fact 16 of her fellow Beautiful Black American Sisters have been brutally murdered for doing the same thing.
It's the woman actor who stood up to her boss and said "Today I learned that my costar is paid twenty times as much as me and if you don't fix this I'll quit."

Because little girls are powerful and strong but it's not just little girls that carry the power of thousands of generations of oppressed women on their shoulders that never quit,
It's the other millions of women who do the same every day that will cause change.

That are change.

We are change.

And we are change because we drag that need for change into the light,
Grasping it with every bit of energy reclaimed after being taken from us by inequality and injustice remaining unsolved.
