Fireworks (poem)
The stars are overwhelmed,
As they hide behind the curtain
Of light, of love, of fireworks,
Shying away from things uncertain.
But you hold my hand tight,
And something different ignites in me,
As we stand on our last breath,
At the ethereal edge of eternity.
Breathe in, breathe out,
We take a last look around,
A silence buzzing in my heart
Though the streets echo every sound.
One tight squeeze,
Two blinking eyes,
Three feathery kisses,
Four simple lies.
That you are a human,
That this ain't a ploy,
That you won't tear a world apart,
That you'd never ever destroy.
Final blasts in the air,
The april wind warns,
Instead of fire patterns
Something unseen, the sky adorns.
The stars suddenly fall,
The sky lights up with darkness,
And i feel you disappear in thin air,
And leaving behind a solid emptiness.
This ain't my home, my hearth,
But you won't tame it, nor take it,
I'd rather be a comet, than a meteor,
A beacon of hope, than a reaper's grit.
So i snatch away your soul,
And crush it just where your warmth lay seconds ago,
And watch as everything stills
Then moves in reverse ever so slow.
Now i am standing again,
Under the blanket of true celestian bodies,
Between an unknown celebration,
Among the souls of my future homies.
And i enjoy the fireballs,
As the sea replays it infinitely,
Unlooping the loops you looped,
Savouring your souvenirs tightly.
