What is there to say
About me and who I am?
I love talking about it
Examining myself
But at the same time . . . don't

And I guess that tells you something right there
I've spent so long fighting against my opinion of myself
That I hate bringing it up
For the fear of seeming narcissistic
The fear of my old arrogance

But who am I?
I'm the guy who tries to help everyone
My heart's like a well that never runs dry
So I give and I give
Waiting for the day I have no more

I'm the leader
Trying to lead with dignity and honor
Show young men how to be men
When a team is put together I'm ready to lead
I guess it's just natural

I'm the fighter
Alone in the corner, I fight my demons
I fight for my beliefs
I fight almost every day
And I can't see a life without it

I'm the lover
Romance is my dream
And I pray that one day I can give
My heart entirely to the woman in my future
Cause she'll deserve the world, and I'll want to give it

I'm the motivator
The world is my stage
And the stage is my world
So I stand there loudly
Ready to deliver what I can

I'm the brother and father
Who watches over the little children
As if they are my own
Because I love them like I know
How I'll love my own

At some times I feel inadequate
At others like the world is mine
But one or the other I know
That I won't stop learning and growing
Until I'm the best I can ever be

"You don't need to try so hard,"
I've been told
But I do it for myself not for others
Who I am today was forged in fire
Burns become my strength

I've been hurt badly
Most of all by those I loved
But I never do stop loving others
Because I know
One day it will pay off
