"To be or not to be"

By: Fathers Beress T. Chipuka

I was naive
Taking in the sweetness of lips to believe
Lies I percieved the truth to be
To see that these eyes did not want to be
What they were meant to be
Eyes that see
For even the self decree of freedom from lies to be free
Is impossible to the oblivious to a great degree

Opened eyes behold the carrion of time
Never to be resurrected
But always dissected
within the mind where maybe and what if
Haunt beyond belief yet simple acceptance is relief
Belief or disbelief
Reality only has two roads
To believe, perceive or disbelieve and misperceive

A child plays innocently
with neither malice nor malevolence
But with curiosity the mother of mortal knowledge,
Pregnant with perceived superiority the father of the enemy of growth ,perceived inferiority
Today he cries, tomorrow he cries
And in the future he dies
But in between his birth and inevitable demise is a surprise.
