The malevolence of forward backwardness

By: Fathers Beress T. Chipuka

Behold it rests not
Moving only to its may
but never yours
Making tomorrow today
and today yesterday
As well as is , no more

Wilting trees
Making children elders
and the dumb wise
to the unknowing's surprise
Only life it has to despise

Making strong weak
And hope bleak
Turning smiles to frowns
And innocence to evil
Wrong your rights it preaches to infants
Yet right your wrongs it teaches to elders
and wrong the world it whispers to me

Death's call , seldom convenient
Silent as a mime
Never will it rhyme
Murder its favorite crime
And here to take you away even in your prime

In its malevolent amusement it removes teeth
Takes away legs
And ignores all that begs

Death's whispers are in every sentence's end
Every road's bend
Every breath
And every word

Procrastination be'eth the adversary of existence
For death screams only goodbye
