LIES
Telling a lie is a human nature
Even kids do it without being tutored
As it's a man's defense mechanism
To avoid reproach and criticism.
Oftentimes, we say false information
Mainly to cover our wrong actions
Afraid of being punished by our parents
As a result of doing things without their consent.
Sometimes we also speak untrue statements
Because it's already our commitment
In order to cover someone's mistake
And to protect our honor that is at stake.
There is a sad truth about this lie—
Tying rope around us, as to ourselves we deny
For we cannot accept a certain reality—
Holding on to a person who is much unworthy.
A hurting truth is better than a comforting deception
As the former will set free our thoughts and emotions
Do not let yourself be trapped by the devil
He's the father of lies, bringing us to peril.
We should bear in mind this one thing
There's nothing concealed that'll be forever hidden
That's why it is good to stay honest
'Cause light will always conquer darkness.
Whatever color of lie you've committed
A lie is a lie— gray, black, white or red
Let your heart be filled with the overflowing love of Christ
For love casts out fear, and fear is the root of all lies.
