I woke up this morning with a smile on my face
Still with sleep in my eyes and dreams on my mind
Ready to start the day, with gusto and pace
Truly glad to be a contributing part of (wo)mankind.

I'm ready for whatever today has to throw at me
I am happy, I'm energetic, I'm Hazel, I'm prepared
For it is Thursday and I'm healthy and as happy as can be.

I woke up this morning, to the most beautiful sound
My son, singing in his bedroom, a melody from his own mind
He too is happy and I have to say, it brought a tear to my eye
If he can appreciate everything we have, then so can I.
