There's something liberating about walking into a room where nobody knows you.

Because then suddenly there are no expectations.

I mean don't get me wrong. There will always be the comfortable charm of a room full of those you know. Bliss of already knowing who surrounds you.

But the feeling of walking into a room, where no one knows you name is exhilarating.

You can be whoever you want to be.
Do whatever you want to do.
Say whatever you want to say.

And know one knows that it's not who you are normally.

You are not constrained by past experiences, by mess ups or failures.

You have nothing to live up to. Which makes it so much easier to live up to it.

No expectations means that whoever you turn out to be, it's expected. And accepted.

When I walk into a room full of strangers, I try to fight against the normal persona I put on, and I take on another.

I take a chance to be more extroverted, more knowledgeable, more exciting.

Cause I can. And now all these people see me as that.

And those traits help control a room. Without knowledge of who you are, you already have some respect. Maybe more than from those who know you.

So when I walk in as the person who can confidently control the room, my base level amount of respect skyrockets.

Because people associate those traits with someone who's strong, patient, smart, and most of all, someone who is meant to lead.

And regardless of what you may think, very few people in this world are leaders. Almost all of us are followers.

But to be a leader, yet to have know one know you aren't usually one, sets you apart.

You have now just been freed.

I am now that person that everyone automatically looks up to.

No knowledge of those around you is just as scary as it is freeing.

And once you embrace the freedom and liberation of it, it's not scary, it's powerful.

So when I do something new, in front of those who know nothing of me, I do it as the leader that I want to be.

And then suddenly I'm that leader, I am what I want to be.

It's a rare freedom today, but being unknown to the people who surround you frees you.
