Carve Your Mark - Spread Your Seeds - Words That Last

3/18/19
A collection of quickly written, never thought out, poems. All about what you leave behind. Out legacies.

Carve Your Mark

Leave it blazing in the stone.
Let it flicker, let it last.
Make it your own.
Carve something that will last.
Make it count.
Leave the world with sparks in your eyes, and embers in your soul.
Let your mark burn.
Make it burn deep.
Let it be bright, let it spread stories.
Carve out your story.
Make it speak the words of years, of tears.
Leave it as it sings the story of love, of friendship.
Let it sing of the joy, of the peace.
Make it burn as bright as the sparks in your eyes.
Carve your mark.

Spread Your Seeds

Leave them everywhere.
Let them blow throw the winds.
Leave to grow, became a garden you never got see grow.
Make them good. Make them be the seeds of happiness and joy.
Leave them to do the good, you couldn't.
Let them make their way into the broken hearts.
Make sure they sing a song of healing.
Spread the to mend the rips and tears you never could.
Let the love.
Let them grow.
Spread your seeds while your still here.

Words That Last

Like the smell of spring lingers on the noses of the joyful.
Last as the stories of the greats do.
Make them last, make them last.
Or they will disappear.
Nothing will last unless you write them too.
Write of the great stories you lived.
Write of the joys of the human race.
Make the as lasting as the songs of hope.
Let them mean great things, and mend great sorrows.
As the summer turns to autumn, leaves fall and disappear.
Just as words are forgotten from the brains of those they last knew.
The words must be written as to not fall to oblivion.
Words that last grow trees, made of the stories, and memories, and dreams.
Dreams, Memories, and stories, are words that will last.
Words that last.
